Don't be fooled by all the negative reviews!
I'm not normally one to write reviews for these things, but after reading all the negative reviews I had to put my two-cents in. Now the gripe with this set is that the cartoons are presented in a widescreen format, but when the cartoons are ripped from the disc that tells a different story. ALL the cartoons, but "Design for Leaving" ripped from the disc in a 4:3 format. I even played the DVD myself in a DVD player just to get both sides of the story. At first it played in widescreen (very grainy picture), but a simple click on "Maintain Default Aspect Ratio" and it turned to 4:3 in an instant (with better picture quality). On the back of the box it even says that it is presented in the standard format (preserving the original theatrical exhibition). So if you are on the fence and at least have a little technical know how, then please buy this DVD, we may never see them released ever again. Thank you Warner Bros., and I would love to see more of Daffy in the future. Please!P.S. As soon as I can get my hands on a camera, I will post a video review.

That wonderful dispicable duck!
I grew up watching these wonderful looney tune cartoons when they were shown on network tv Saturday morning programming on ABC. I always got a kick out of the antics commited by Daffy Duck and his rivals Elmer Fud, Porky Pig, and of course Bugs Bunny. These cartoons hold up thru time and watching them again many of these are honest to god down right funny. In some ways these old toons are better quality and real entertainment than most of the programming that's being put out today on cable tv. I remember all the hub bub about the violenc in these cartoons so there was a lot of editing in latter days but these are the real un edited versions of the cartoons many of us loved as kids and there is far less violence in the old cartoons than there is in most of the anime on cable today. So if your in the mood for some good old entertainment and some really good belly laughs I recommend these good old Looney Tunes cartoons.

Looney, Tuney Duck
There is no question that the idea for Warner Brothers to no longer relase the volumes of the Looney Tunes Golden Collection, bared disgraced emotions for hard core fans of Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, and many other favorites from the classic Warner Brothers gang. For Daffy Duck, it has been over 70 years since he made his debut in Porky's Duck Hunt, and has been since one of the most beloved characters of all cartoon history. Yet, he has been overshadowed in favor of Bugs unny over the years, but his reflection in animation has never lost its ability to shine. Now, Warner Brothers has decided to re-release some of Daffy's classic gems on DVD for the first time, and it really is a good buy for those who've wanted more from Daffy, and Warner Brothers did deliver nicely.Daffy Duck: Frustrated Fowl, as part of the new Looney Tunes Superstars series, is a great supplement addition for those who've already own all 6 of the Looney Tunes Golden Collection volumes. The DVD features 15 classics from Daffy that have never made it to DVD, and some have never made it to video period. The collection of greats also have been remastered well (this time is the letterbox format and not the standard format like before.) Still, the collection of cartoons is well including classics like This Is A Life? where Daffy is angry over Bugs being celebrated, over thinking the show was going to focus on a tribute to him, yet Bugs is honored by Yosemite Sam and Elmer Fudd, through some of their harshest moments, and Daffy's Inn Trouble, where Daffy leaves a Inn he works for by Porky, after being fed up with just being told to sweep all the time (and a new broom he gets as a present, rather than just recognition) and builds his own Inn with some heartbreaks beared inn, and Wise Quackers by Friz Freleng one of Daffy's often overlooked gems. In that one Daffy falls from the sky, after being overexhausted from flying, and falls into a trap by Elmer Fudd, only to talk himself out of it by being Elmer's slave. The shorts really look great and sound just like they did when they came out in the 40's, 50's and 60's.All in all, Daffy Duck: Frustrated Fowl is a nice buy for any hard core fan of the Looney cartoons for all these great years. While it isn't going to appeal to those who've never seen any of the shorts from the Looney Tunes gang, it definitely will appeal to those who've wanted more from the Looney Tunes on DVD, and were just hoping there was more to deliver. I absolutely recommend this for anyone for has been a fan of Daffy for all this time, and still remains one fanatic of the old Looney Tunes gang. Daffy has always been looney, and it is easy to forget what made him stand out in the crowd, but he always wanted the credit for it too. I really love watching these gems and Daffy is one Looney delight.Price: BRemastering: BShorts: B+Overall: B 1/2+

Daffy's all time best cartoons.
Daffy Duck is my second favorite cartoon character after Sylvester. This DVD has him going up against Elmer Fudd, Porky Pig, and even the cartoonist. As usual Daffy's antics cause him great pain but he keeps coming back for more. There is an annoying statement about the perceived prejudices of the era when the cartoons were made. It is annoying because it sticks and will not release to the main menu. Try using a different reader and go to chapter index and work your way thru to the menu page. I have found this also in the Sylvester DVD.

Great cartoons
Loved it, some cropping issues but it doesn't ruin the cartoons, would prefer no cropping issues but it doesnt distract too much unless you are looking for it
