Hopeful, deeply thoughtful and beautifully written
I found this to be a powerful and deeply engaging treatise carefully interweaving scientific facts and history, psychological interpretation and deep respect for the qualities of the feminine archetype. Gary Bobroff gives a plausible and reasoned explanation for how and why our culture operates in its narrow, wilful and ultimately destructive framework: the automatic presumption of understanding through intellect, the need for certainty, the disregard and denigration of 'otherness' and finally control and manipulation through force of will. The mystery of crop circles and their agency are neither understood nor controllable (except via the creation of hoaxes to provide pat explanations and the culturally necessary dismissal of the phenomenon). Crop Circles offer us, on a personal level, a magical opportunity to be mystified and re-enchanted by their ultimate unknowability and by extension, this spectacular world we inhabit. They are to be experienced, not conceptualised. They offer us a mirror of not-knowing. Science can dissect and analyse, but it strips all phenomena of their innate sacredness - and so via this extraordinary, awesome and mystifying activity called Crop Circles Gary Bobroff explains how we are invited, as individuals, to embrace the mystery of something greater that we are - and find personal meaning in that. This unusual and thought provoking book gives me hope for a salvageable future, because through reading it I am now able to perceive signs of the arising and reactivation of the feminine archetype within our culture.

Bobroff offers a great deal more
I vacillate between believing in "worlds I cannot see and do not understand" - and thinking it's all rubbish. So, naturally, crop circles have always fascinated me. Are they a hoax or a mystery into other dimensions? This book definitely answers that question. I'm not going to say how because that would be a spoiler. But beyond answering this question in a scientific and remarkably unbiased fashion, Bobroff offers a great deal more. He shows us the many ways our rational, scientific thinking has replaced enchantment and mystery, and why we need a balance of both. This is a mind-bending and expansive book, a must-read for anyone who cares about living a deeper, fuller life.

Finally! A book worthy of this mysterious phenomena
It is all to common, that the topic of 'crop circles' summons extreme polarizing opinions and arguments--Are crop circles 'real' or 'fake'? Who are the creators of these phenomena? What are their intentions and messages? It is also not uncommon for the mental health of the questioner to be brought up and laid out for review (which serves as a convienient way to minimize and stigmatize the entire topic). Gary Bobroff's book is a beacon of light in an otherwise dark area of collective un-consciousness. Instead of fixating on debating or proving, he expands the topic to focus on what is ultimately the most important part of our human experience...meaning. Written with depth, imbued with rich theory and honoring the feminine, this book is a stand-out.

speak of amazing events prior to the times described in the Book ...
Simply one of the most important books written on the mystery of crop circles though it's much more that that. If ancient prophecies, including a small segment of the Book of Acts in the Christian New Testament , speak of amazing events prior to the times described in the Book of Revelations, then surely crop circles fit the bill...This wonderful book helps us step out of the paradigms that we are indoctrinated into. This book is the antidote to the hypnosis of mass culture, mass religions, and the mass insanity of people sleep walking right up and into the crisis ahead.

What I love about this book is the way Bobroff covers the basics without new age hype nor self-protective skepticism, and then goes on to offer some genuinely helpful ways of interpreting the phenomenon *on a personal level*. The latter is something I've never seen. Because once you get past the question of what's making them, new existential questions arise, as in, 'what does this mean for me personally? Should I live any differently?', etc. After all, the implications are HUGE, and yet the world continues to move along more or less as it always does. Reconciling that is very difficult, and I found this book a great aid to that end.
