PERFECT gift for the three little pig lovers in your life!
My girls have been obsessed with the three little pigs story for a long time. It's one of their favorite go to books. When I came across this product on amazon, I knew it would be perfect for my younger daughter's third birthday.Out of all the gifts she got ( and she got a ton ) this was far and away her favorite. My older daughter (4) was equally excited about it and together they played with this set for HOURS. I thought it was just the novelty of it, and that it would quickly wear off, but weeks later they still ask to play with it daily. My younger one carries the box around the house begging to help set it up and act out the story. They were elated that the brick house actually had a fireplace/chimney for the wolf to try and climb down. It's their favorite part! The set is made extremely well. I was really surprised and impressed by the quality. I love that it isn't made of plastic!! The pieces all fit together really nicely. It is very sturdy and doesn't fall down unless you deliberately take it apart. The attention to detail is superb. My four year old has no problem putting it together. We have put it together and taken it apart ( blew the houses down) at least 100 times and everything is still in perfect condition. I love the sturdy Velcro close box it came with. Perfect for storing all the pieces in and taking it back and forth to Grandma's house. On Mother's day my niece and nephew wanted to play with this set as well. At ages two and five they were both interested in it and loved playing with the set. All four kids - ages 2-5 took turns being the wolf and telling the story, while the others would each be a pig. Building the house and having the wolf "Huff and Puff" and blow down the house. Then all scramble to the next pigs house. They would erupt in laughter as the wolf tried to climb down the chimney, only to burn his tale on the pot in the fire, YELP, scrambling back down the roof and into the woods. Then disaster struck. Our new puppy climbed up on a chair and ate two of the little pigs. My daughter was devastated and cried hysterically. The irony that our puppy is a husky (wolf) and ate two of the little pigs is not lost on us.In desperation to fix it ( and really not wanting to buy another entire set) I contacted Storytime Toys asking if they sold replacement parts and explaining what happened. To my delight they quickly responded and offered to send replacement pigs for FREE. Just for the wonderful customer service I would have given them 5 stars, but the product truly deserves the rating. We will be purchasing the other sets (goldilocks and the three bears, and Hansel and Gretel) for future birthday/Christmas gifts.

Engaging toy
My grandsons, ages 2+ and 4+, love this book and set-up. The 2-year-old was a bit too enthusiastic with it at first and bent a part, but no real damage was done and he learned how to maneuver the parts.

Storytime Toys Are Great
Over the past six months I've bought both Goldilocks & the Three Bears and The Three Little Pigs Storytime Toy sets and my grandchildren (2 and 5) love them. Three Little Pigs was easier to put together than the Three Bears' set, but neither was hard. It takes 10-15 minutes tops, and the 5-year Old enjoyed it both times. They both come in a box which can be used for permanent storage of the toy, though that, of course, means disassembling and reassembling each time they play with it. [And ages 5+ will quickly learn to do this.] The Three Pigs houses went up easily and the first two of them were easy to imagine being blown down. The problem was the fourth was no stronger. What bothered me most of all was that the chimney and pot of boiling water — so key to the story's ending – were so unstable and hard to put in place that the final moment could only be acted out with the greatest of frustration and complicated maneuvering. In my opinion, that aspect of the design and manufacturing could be greatly improved. [note: as I said in my review of the Three Bears set, tiny removable glue dots – available on Amazon – can probably be used to correct all of the difficulties I've mentioned.]In both of these sets, there should also be a way provided to help characters stand up on their own – as is done with with 2D board game pieces by providing them with a second piece to slot into – for they are merely punched out of 1/8th inch laminated foam board and they cannot stand my themselves. In the Three Pigs, the big bad wolf was also odd looking and peculiarly oversized to be knocking on the 1/2" doors of the Pigs' houses.Admittedly, all these criticisms come from an adult. The children, meanwhile, seemed unbothered by any of it and always were delighted.

Very Fun Puzzle
Great addition for play and addition to story telling. My 4 yr old granddaughter loves playing with this and creating her own story. I think this is best with adult supervision with young children so that the pieces are treated gently. The pieces are quite sturdy but the could be bent and destroyed if some care was not exercised. I think it is a fun way to sit and interact with a child while telling 3 Little Pigs story or making up stories.
