It is small and sturdy. Fits perfectly in my daypack. Handle is nicely rounded and fits nicely in your hand. Easy to open and close without much of hassle. Looks durable too.

Seems like an extremely well made and sturdy umbrella. I love the size, bigger than most compact umbrellas so it protects me better, but not so large that it's a liability when the wind is blowing hard or so it's unwieldy when negotiating your way around with others on a crowded sidewalk. I feel the same about the handle, most compact umbrellas have tiny short handles that are hard to keep a firm grip on, this one's longer and more comfortable to hold. It's just hard plastic though and I wouldn't mind if it was rubber covered so it was a little more non slip. Still, not enough of an issue to ding it a star for. My last umbrella while durable was too small in diameter and the handle was atrocious so I got this one to replace it. So far so good. If it doesn't stand the test of time I'll be back to update my review!

i bought this for my son after his previous cheap umbrella totally fell apart. I'm very glad I picked this because it is sturdy and well made. My son is driving now and has to park 3 blocks away from school. It's extremely important that he has an umbrella that won't break while walking to school. The wind occasionally gets pretty gusty, so the windproof design with the strengthened black metal shaft and 10 reinforced fiberglass ribs makes me feel comfortable that he's going to be taken care of. It's also just the right size that he can clip it onto his backpack when he gets to school, so he doesn't have to worry about carrying it around all day. Overall a very nice umbrella, especially at this price point.

Living in a pretty wet and windy area requires a bit of trial and error on umbrellas. Also with several kids and our joy of traveling we prefer ones on the smaller size. This umbrella meets our needs well. Seems strong and sturdy, already holding up in the latest heavy pour but best part is the auto button. Easy for out youngest to operate when we are moving quickly from house to car. Something that's always an issue. Only gripe is the weight. It's a lot heavier than our other short umbrellas and even slightly heavier than our long one. Hasn't been an issue yet but we rarely need an umbrella for extended amount of time so it's more surprising than an issue.

This umbrella is great and pretty well built. I usually use this for summer and winter. I am not a fan of the hot sun or the heavy rain. The umbrella is pretty sturdy and I tried a wind resistant test and it holds up. It does not flip inside out from just sheer wind force which is nice for those windy rainy days. It does have enough room for max of two people and will cover the person however depending on the angle it will not cover your backpack. The switch is nice to have to collapse the umbrella. I am very happy with that. I do not have to close the umbrella down when my other hand is carrying my bag or books. The button is not super sensative which is great. You are not walking then all of a sudden the umbrella closes on you. The water runs right off the umbrella and it does not take super long to dry which is nice. It does also come with a cover when it is being stored so you can keep it looking neat and organized. Overall I think this umbrella is great to have for sunny or rainy weather. It is light and compact while allowing for full coverage.

The most important thing is that it be sturdy, larger enough to keep the rain off, and open and close properly. So far, this umbrella seems to do all that to 5-star standards. The grip could be a little longer. Fine for me, but awkward for my wife. The only real problem is that the cover is nearly impossible to put back on, once opened. A zipper would be costly, but perhaps the slit up the side could be longer. These are not major issues and we are very happy with the purchase, so far.

The push-to-open, push-to-close functionality is awesome. It does require some extra pressure to close, but it's pretty easy if you just press it against the ground after you press the button to close it.
