Good stuff

These have great quality connectors with solid instead of cheap rolled contacts (as can be seen in photos) and the wires are of good quality and are solder tipped ready for use.They feel solid and the connectors fit together and pull apart with a good amount of resistance.

Ordered this requiring both male and female cables. Instead I received 6 female cables rather than 3 of each as advertised.

Good fit, not tight.

I’m using these as my goto type of connector now for power, I believe they originated in the RC world where there are low voltage but high current at play, which makes these ideal for many other uses, there is an XT-60 and XT-90 connector which provide even higher current capabilities.I use these for lower currents, LED strips in particular, they have a nice positive coupling when you push them together and pulling them apart is not too difficult as well.These ones with the flying leads are useful as using the raw connectors you need to be careful with applying heat while soldering as if you apply too much for too long then you can melt the plastic, obviously with these the (silicone) wire is already soldered so you only need to pop a bit of heat shrink on, solder the wires together than then move the heat shrink into place and set it.I have loads of these now in my stock as they’re such a useful connector to have at arms reach!
