Great bargain!
I bought this holster to use with my Taurus 605 revolver. I’ve used a Galco Pocket Protector with a Glock 26 before and thought it did a good job so I went with Galco again. The holster fits just snug enough that it’ll stay on the gun but loose enough that you can draw it easily. There have been a few occasions where it has come out of the pocket when drawing but that comes with the territory of pocket holsters and its easy enough to swipe it off with your support hand. The fit is great since the gun’s barrel doesn’t stick out of the open bottom and the hammer doesn’t protrude from the top. Traditional double/single action revolvers with exposed hammers like mine do run the risk of having the backside of the hammer snag on the inside of the pocket during the drawbut (as recommended by Massad Ayoob) this can be avoided by placing your thumb on top of the hammer while you’re drawing so the material will slide out of the way. How well this holster works is mostly determined by how well it fits in your pocket. If the pocket is too small, the fit of the pants too tight or if the material the pocket is made of isn’t strong enough to support the weight it will not work. I my case I already have several carpenter shorts and jeans made by Wrangler along with Lees jeans plus an assortment of cargo shorts that I already use for pocket carry with my Glock 26 which also fit this holster and gun. Like the other pocket holsters this does make a significant bulge, especially in slimmer clothing, but the bulge doesn’t look like a gun. Compared to having the gun without the holster it’s easier to see the outline of it “printing” through the material plus it’ll shift around. So far I’ve been using this holster for the last few weeks and I like it so much I can safely say I’ll probably be using it for the next few years too!

Floppy Holster!
Super floppy and loose on an SW Jframe 638. The older style is a much much better fit and finish. I have one for a small beretta 22 and is awesome. Sending back and going with a desantis soft tuck. Have had a couple newer galco items where the quality seems to be way off. Bummer. :(. I love galco stuff but cannot trust this item for EDC.

Good quality but...
I love all my other galco products and while the construction is up to par with what I expected from galco and it securely holds my s&w 442 it doesn't provide much concealment. By that I mean it still just looks like I have a revolver in my pocket. I was hoping it was a bit more firm and wouldn't print the shape of a revolver. Great for inside jacket pockets though and very loose fitting shorts but prints revolver shaped badly in normal men's jeans

those others are very good and well made holsters
This is the lighted and slimmest profile pocket holster available. I tried all the other popular ones from Galco, Sticky and De Santis. Don't get me wrong, those others are very good and well made holsters, but they all added too much bulk. I didn't want a "brick" in my front pocket, and even though I tried the pocket holsters with the slimmest single stacks 9's, the others were too bulky. The Galco Pocket Protector adds very little to the thickness of the gun and was perfect for me. Put this one side by side to any of the others and you will see what I mean.

Perfect.
Love this holster. It's leather, so there is a break-in period, but once broken in, this holster fits great. The draw is quick and smooth, while maintaining good retention. I wear it everyday. It's comfortable in my jeans, and even in my gym shorts. I carry a S&W 442 .38 +P Air Weight. Works perfectly.

Fits Taurus M85
Good holster overall, but the revolver model is not as pictured. The bottom of the revolver holster is rounded instead of squared, so the pistol tends to rotate in my pocket. Other than that, I'm happy with it. As another person mentioned, with my revolver it does not conceal completely in my jeans, but fits the front pocket correctly.

Great little pocket holster
This is a great pocket holster for my Smith and Wesson 642. It allows a good grip on the weapon on the draw. It stays open in the pocket for an easy reholster (a problem with other pocket holsters I've had), and it doesn't come out of the pocket when drawing the revolver. It also covers the trigger of the weapon, so that it would seem impossible for the trigger to be pulled when in the pocket. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to carry a snub gun in the pocket.

Nice Product
Nice product. Handles my S&W model 60 very nicely. Does not completely hide the gun outline in your pocket, but is less obvious than just putting the gun in your pocket. I don't see it as possible to completely hide an object this size in your pocket. This little holster, however, makes it much easier to get to the gun and holds it upright. It merits 5 stars.
