Queen Catherine, Loose tea by the Pound

Absolutely excellent tea!! Sometimes hard to catch before sold out so apparently others love it too. This is the first time I found it in a pound bag and even at $25, I snapped it up. I am on a budget and have never spent this much on a tea, I always get the standard 4oz or less, and not the exotic, crazy-expensive teas.It has a unique flavor that is definitely enjoyable. No added fruity/flowery/spices added, just an excellent blend of three Chinese black teas and nothing else. It is a strong, full bodied tea, with a smooth and unique flavor, but never bitter when brewed properly. It is my absolute favorite breakfast tea to get me going in the mornings. I have even been ignoring my Harney & Sons English Breakfast, Scottish Breakfast, and outstanding Assam, in favor of this strong, hearty, smooth deliciousness. I was an Assam or Assam blend all the way till I tasted this!

This an expensive black tea blend but worth the money to me. The aroma and taste are wonderful. I can drink this black with no milk or sugar. I started out with the 4oz cannister and loved it so much I decided to pony up the $$$ and get the pound bag. When I want to indulge myself I make a pot of this tea. Of course with the pound bag I will be indulging myself more often.This is a black tea blend that is all tea: no fruit, flowers or spices/herbs added for flavor. I prefer my tea that way.

I love this tea. I first bought a small tin of it from a local Jungle Jim store and loved it so much, I looked for it on Amazon. I was delighted to find this pound size bag. It arrived well packaged and sealed. The tea inside was absolutely fresh. Have been enjoying it ever since. It's a much for traditional black tea lovers.

I am wondering if this tea is a little outdated. I love Queen Catherine which I get locally usually But, the flavor falls short from this bag.

This is my favorite tea. It has been many years since I last enjoyed a cup of Queen Catherine and it did not disappoint. It is worth every penny.

This has become one of my favorite tea blends. Rich without being bitter, it's refreshing and enjoyable.

It's a little hard to review the tea, because I think there was a storage problem. When first opened, the tea smelled and tasted like it had been stored with some flavored tea. I really don't like flavored tea. Too cloying for me. After letting the tea get some air, something I usually try to prevent, the off flavors seem to be going away and the tea is okay. There is still some off flavor, but I can use it mixed with some other black teas to make a good pot. Was hoping for much more.
