Grab more ... Worry less ...Finally parents can relax when the kids grab the iPad 2 or iPad 3rd Generation ... Safe, secure, and... squishy? Yep. Squishy. As in soft, squishy, easy to grab foam. That means fewer slips, drops, and tumbles and plenty of cushion just in case. It's amazing how much relief Big Grips Frame brings to the table, especially when the iPad2 or iPad 3rd Generation is falling from the table! No need to worry about the iPad2 or iPad 3rd Generation slipping out of Big Grips Frame either. Big Grips Frame snugly hugs and cradles your iPad2 or iPad 3rd Generation and won't let go until you say so.

3 1/2 Stars. Would be perfect if not for one issue
Before buying the Big Grips (and the stand which sells at a discounted price if purchased together) I looked at multiple cases intended to protect an iPad used by a child. What I wanted:Sturdy enough that the iPad could take a fallNot likely to rip, tear or breakSome sort of stand to allow for viewing videosDidn't send the message to the child that the iPad was now "theirs." In other words, something that didn't make the iPad look as if it was not a toy instead of something to be shared with other family members.I looked at probably a dozen different models and I rejected all of them except for the Big Grips.Kayscase: This one was a top contender with a handle that converts to a stand. The stand function, however, looked very unstable in photos and videos and the colors were all 100% geared toward children.Gripcase: No stand and the carrying handles around the edges do not look strong enough to deal with multiple kids. Imagine a tug of war. This would one looks as if it would rip.Armorbox: Flimsy standGriffin Survivor Extreme-duty Military case: This was initially my first choice. This one protects the screen, not just the body. And therein lies the problem. Too many complaints about the screen making images look bad or making it harder for the screen to accurately detect finger movements. Even though this one doesn't include a stand, it was tempting. Too many deal breakers. Those were the biggest contenders. The stand for the Big Grips sold the deal. It comes in black (e.g. looks less child oriented). Have used it for about a month and it's been great . . . except a couple of issues. The foam padding is thick around the edges which is GREAT. But the holes allowing access to the power port and buttons are too small for adult fingers. Which makes me scratch my head. It is extremely difficult to plug in the power cord while the case is on the iPad. Case is easy to remove so no problem right? No, unfortunately. Removing the case causes the screen protector (which was obviously purchased separately) to come off. Maybe we're just using a cheap screen protector, I don't know. But removing the case is not currently an option as it destroys the screen protector. We had to pull on the cord to remove it from the iPad and now the cord is broken - broke right off.No other case offers what the Big Grips does. Why they made the access holes so small makes no sense. The smaller holes make it easier for a child instead of an adult to push the buttons or remove the power cord. So a ding in the rating for that.Your needs may vary. If the stand and color don't matter and you want to save a little money then I'd otherwise recommend the Gripcase or the Kayscase. The hard cases such as the Griffin or Armorbox have deal breakers regardless of your preferences.

Great, but two issues...
The negatives first. Like most other people have stated, the access to plug in your iPad for charging is difficult to get to (the same for the headphones, etc.). Another issue that we have unfortunately dealt with, is that because of the material the case is made of, it can warp if left in the heat for too long. In our situation, our iPad was left in our car for several hours and the case warped to the point that it no longer fits the iPad. This is disappointing because, on a positive note, the case did a great job of protecting our iPad from our children's clumsy little fingers. It survived a couple of drops in the Big Grips and it had not previously been so lucky in its old case. I also loved the case/stand combo. It made it so much easier for our kids to facetime without knocking the iPad over or having it slide around the table. All in all, it does what we needed it to. We would just need to be more careful with a future case that we not leave it in the car for too long when we travel with it.

Perfect protection from the kids
When I purchased my iPad last November I knew that I needed a case that would help my ipad hold up to my seven year old and three year old boys, who I wanted to be able to use the iPad too. After looking at several cases, my sister told me about Big Grips. Her daughter has Cerebal Palsy and uses the iPad with a Big Grip for therapy. Big Grips helps her daughter hold the iPad and protects it when she drops it. Although it looked bulky, I decided to give Big Grips a try and I am so glad that I did.A couple of things to know. The cover is a little hard to get on. But once its on - its on. It takes some time to get used to charging the iPad in the Big Grips case, but now it's a breeze. (Example: don't try to do it in the dark.) A Big Grip is not small, but it does exactly what it is made for - protecting your device - amazingly well. It also protects from spills. The cover elevates the iPad just slightly off a table. So if a drink gets spilled there is a better chance that the iPad wont be flooded. The stand is nice too. My seven year old uses it when working on his online homework and as a tripod to make animated videos. It also makes my iPad look nice sitting on my desk. I recommend this protect to anyone that has children, people that have a tendency to drop items, seniors that need a larger device to hold, people with special needs, or teachers that use iPads in early childhood education settings.

We bought this for an iPad that is typically used by a three year old. So far we have not had any problems even though the iPad has been dropped a few times. It is a sturdy cover that is easy to clean and does s great job protecting the iPad. A negative is that it is difficult to plug in earphones and the charger. The cover is so thick that you have to put the cords in quite far to plug them into the iPad... But I would rather do that than have a broken screen.

Love it!
I bought the Big Grips case and stand almost a year ago to use with our Down Syndrome child. The peace of mind that the iPad could be carried and banged around a bit with out damage has far outweighed any "issues" regarding plugging it in. We love it! So much that when we bought another iPad a few months later (for another family member) we bought another Big Grips, in a different color to define who's was who's. We get stopped all the time from people asking us about the case, how we like it, and where we bought it. We don't take our iPad in and out of the case. We have no need to. Though a little challenging to plug the cord in, we have figured it out and don't consider it an issue. The stand is nice too, though we don't use it that much. I love the sturdiness, and anti slip feel of the case. I use my iPad in the kitchen for music and recipes. I can prop the Big Grips on the counter without fear of it falling over, or if it did that it that it would hurt the iPad. Highly recommend the Big Grip products!

Big Grips Frame for Apple iPad 2
This big grips frame offers good all-round protection for your iPad. Although the rubber is quite soft, and a few bite marks can be seen on my child's, it does offer good protection from the iPad itself being bitten and ultimately cracked. This happened to a previous iPad my child used. The soft rubber frame also means that if/when the iPad is thrown down, the shock is absorbed into the frame, again preventing breakage or screen cracking. If the iPad lands face-down when thrown to the ground, the screen does not touch the ground to cause scratching or cracking because the big grips frame, being deeper than screen level, prevents the screen itself from making contact with the ground. Use of the iPad is not really any more awkward with the big grips surround. In fact, it probably prevents slippage off your knee if you are using it when sitting on a chair with no desk. Overall, a very good, useful item for your iPad if you have a lot of users in your home who are minors and may rough-handle it.

I like it, well protective and It arrived on time
I like it, well protective and It arrived on time. Although it was a bit trickish to open and insert the iPad. However, it met my expectation
