Compatible with VW Volkswagen Passat ABS Plastic Badgeless Front Grille (Black) - B5/B5.5 Typ 3B/3BG Facelifted

A near perfect fit, though one of the bottom clips was about an 1/8 of an inch off. However, I was able to get it to fit without modifying anything.Much to my surprise, this is a gloss black grill (which I find preferable to the satin grill that I had before). I’ve ordered several off brand grills and this is the only one that actually fit properly. This is a very hard, brittle plastic so be careful not to bend it very much or it will probably break.Installation took about a minute and a half.

Price was awesome. Hood release fit perfect and tight. Looks great. Gave it a 4 just because it doesn’t fit as well as the factory grille. The top hangs out a couple mils. I don’t notice it after the install and ,unless your making a show car, no one will notice.

This grill was a great purchase. The original on my car was previously broken when i bought the car and was looking for a cheat but good alternative. I was going for more of a "tuner" look so i thought this grill would be great. I gave it a shot and ordered it and it came fast. When I ordered this I also ordered a few other things along with it and it was the first to arrive.When it came to installing the grill it was very easy. This grill did not mash up against anything and had no problem fitting in the spot that it was supposed to. It bolted down just fine and looks great.Update about 3 months later: This grill has held up quite great and nothing has broken. The only thing that i can tell is that the shinny appearance that it once had has kind of dulled. I recognized that you gan put some plastic treatment on it to make it shinny again but my car is flat black anyway so it fits in just fine. Still a great built for this car!

Quality of the plastic is pretty good but not great. Feels like it’s just brittle enough to break if you mishandle it too roughly when installing it. Grille fits mold area well but the tabs didn’t line up perfectly for me in the bottom half. Had to cut into my bumper in order for the last tab on the right side. Off by about a 1/2”.

I recently bought this badgeless front grille for my VW B5.5 and I am very impressed with the product. During installation, the only issue you will encounter would be the hood release hatch clip on the vehicle. Other than that, it should be an easy DIY job.Another thing worth mentioning, for some reason the OEM (stock) front grille with the VW logo has the air entry port holes (located top left) covered from the original molding. In this product, holes are actually cut in. Which in theory "may" allow more air to flow in, resulting in a slight increase of power and fuel efficiency. Although, you may get more debris in the air filter housing, so a periodic routine inspection/debris removal would help.Shipping was quick. It was exactly what I wanted. It had 2 small clips that needed to be cut (I used a dremel) but was no problem. The grill is super glossy black if you like that but I chose to paint mine flat black which came out perfect. Was installed on a 2004 passat gls wagon.

Very nice looking but not an exact fit, doesnt sit flush and on the sides and there were two tabs i had to cut off with a cutting wheel that werent on the oem grille

The grill is a perfect fit on my 04 passat, with better airflow than stock. Install took less than a half an hour, with just a torx t30 bit and a flathead for the hood release latch. Gave it a few coats of flexidip to match my trim and it looks great.
