Is anyone concerned that this dog food is made in Thailand? My dogs loved this but I'm concerned about the ingredient sources.

Yes it bothers me but my dogs love this food. It actually looks and smells like something I would eat. I haven't tried it yet. If you want to watch out for something we need to also watch out for the other foods and dog treats that are being irradiated. I just rely on Dog Advisors website to let you know about issues with food & treats for your pet. They usually are on top of things. Things made in the United States in some cases as far as food is concerned it's not much better. And those who are on the Raw food refrigerated method of feeding their pets need to watch out also.

This food is not made in the us?  thailand? i will not feed my dogs food made in countries that eat dogs. for the cost, you'd think it was us made.

Our foods are manufactured in Thailand in facilities that also make food for people-much of the food for people goes to the US, EU, Australia and Japan. Thailand is a world leader in producing foods for people around the globe, and much of the world's tuna fish supply for people comes from Thailand (Thailand is also a top chicken producer for people). As exports are the driving force behind the Thai economy, there are strict governmental regulations in place to ensure the safe handling of food for people and pets. In addition, the processing standards from both the supply and production side must meet strict international standards. 
 
The process entails quality control standards that include keeping the factory in a condition where it can pass multiple annual inspections performed by international entities and third party auditors, each under strict scrutiny. Such inspections ensure that we abide by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) systems, meeting the demands of the global market. Perhaps the strictest human processing standard is called the British Retail Consortium (BRC). A grade of "A" on the BRC standard is regularly earned.
 
What we urge is a focus on a company and their quality control as opposed to country of origin. We do not have to look too far back into the news to see many US recalls on both human food and pet food…far many more recalls than even China. We cannot think of any Thai plants incurring a recall in recent memory. No country is immune...there are of course many companies in various countries, and these companies will abide by varying quality control and safety measures.
