Cool flickering lights!
There is no remote control for these lights, you have to plug them in. We have a fake fireplace with fake logs in it. I was using white Christmas lights in it. I then got these these orange flickering fire lights. I weaved these behind the logs, put them on a timer and a night these look so cool! I mean it seriously looks like a low flickering flame in the logs! I may get a second set to throw off a little more light.

Work well-good quality
These were purchased for decoration. They were utilized in 2 different settings. One setting was indoors in a firebox that we took the doors off of and put birch logs inside to simulate a fake fireplace. We use it year round and love the look. The other setting was outside. We have a faux fireplace that we use on our covered front porch and decorate it with stockings for Christmas. In the opening to the faux fireplace, we have a wire basket with birch logs inside. We draped the lights throughout the birch logs. They worked well in frigid temps as well as normal winter weather.

Looks great, but be gentle
I purchased a string of these flickering lights to wrap around some logs in my fireplace, creating a faux-crackling-fire look. The end result is awesome, and I'm so pleased with how they look. But this didn't come without some casualties... two of the bulbs smashed while I was working them around the logs. These aren't something you'll want to move around a lot -- just get them where you want them and leave them be, and they'll look great. I can't comment on longevity / burn-out rate, because I've only had them for a few months and don't plug them in all that often. One more thing -- each bulb is probably a foot or more away from the next, so it's difficult to get a "clustered" look... but not impossible. All in all a cool product.

I LOVED these and put them on my tree with white ...
I LOVED these and put them on my tree with white lights behind them deeper in ( becuause when it was just THESE,, I liked the effect but mom said it looked like the tree was on fire and my BF said " oh look its Christmas time in hell "When I first plugged them in I thought I had 2 burnt out bulbs but I tightened those blubs a bit and gave them a little tap and they popped right on. Gentle mind you. Think of them like old school bubble lights, sometimes they need to just connect right.you Can buy individual replacement bulbs from walmart if you break one on accident, but at the moment they are 7.99 ( the price has gone up and down all season ) so its actually cheaper to buy a spare strand and just store it than for buy 10 bulbs, and I think I will the next time I'm throwing together a PRIME order. They doe have small tension hooks on the side of each bulb cup which are something at least but not perfect fo keeping the bulb straight upright, I think I'm going to go a packet of little alligator or grasping hair clips from the hardware store before I put these on next year and hot glue tot eh bottem of each little, just to make everything PERFECT.

These lights are so realist looking.
I loved the 2 sets I bought first SO much I ordered 3 more sets to use on my whole Christmas tree. These are great lights, buy replacement bulbs straight away as the bulbs are sensitive to being dropped and then don't work.

Embers and Flickering Flames
DH threaded a string of 'Flicker Flame Lights' amongst logs in our fireplace coupled with fireplace crackling sounds from Amazon Echo dot. He tells Alexa to "turn on fireplace", and the "embers and flickering flames" turn on instantly. He tells Alexa to "turn on fireplace sounds" and the crackling, popping and sputters of "flames" turn on instantly. It's so realistic, it is uncanny and it lends a cozy, homey atmosphere of flickering flames and dying embers in the fireplace without the cost or clean up of a wood-fire.Edit: After reading reviews from others, I should comment, we have had the flicker flames on for hours almost every day since before Christmas. Although, I can't be exact since the bulbs are scattered among logs, it doesn't appear bulbs have extinguished, but we will purchase back-up bulbs just in case. Years hence, when the weather is cold outside, the "fire will be burning" as long as Flicker Flame Lights are available.

No remote control-no timer function
No remote control. I wanted these to put in front of my gas fireplace to look like I have a fire going. Enclosed in the directions but not mentioned in the description-it says not to have them near gas fireplaces-it makes me worry because of the pilot light. Seller needs to list the dos and don'ts in the description. I feel very limited where I can use them.

Tree Candles without Fire
I thought the idea of imitation Christmas tree candles had died. Well, it hasn't and these little wonders add life and tradition to the tree!

Not for the UK
Didn’t even get to take them out of the packet when I saw the weird plug on the end. If only the details had stated not suitable for the UK. Really disappointed. Oh, and by the way, there is no spare bulb as falsely described in the details.
