Quilt Blocks on American Barns

Eleanor Burns has created a wonderful barn book and many patterns to use in any quilt. I have made 3 of the blocks so far and am putting them into a "sampler' quilt of my own design. Every block has turned out very good. She explains the procedure well and has plenty of illustrations as you follow along each step. It is a 'keeper' and a good reference for other quilt projects.

I have loved Eleanor Burns' techniques since I took one of her classes back in 1980 here in Pennsylvania. It makes quilting so easy. I watch all her quilt shows on RFD and have them recorded for posterity (unless I can find them on DVD!). She's the kind of person you wish lived next door! So Much Fun! I can't wait to make this quilt. I'm collecting fabric now (just got a piece of Jim Shore farms animals in 100% cotton for the pigs and cows!).

I loved Eleanor's book and have already chosen a block for my great niece's quilt! I've also chosen a number of the blocks for the quilt I want to make ... someday.Someday. Wonder if I'll live long enough to make all my "someday" projects.

Inspired me to create

Well what can I say.... Eleanor Burns is a super-duper quilter. Her instructions and methods are so easy and create such a beautiful project no matter what stage of quilt-maker you are. I have found all her books to be keepers.

I have not received this book yet. I like all of Eleanor Burns books. I am sure I will like this one too.

I really like this book. Lots of different blocks you can make. I actually made one of the barn blocks for an out building. It turned out great!! Have been buying different fabrics that will work for the barns in the patterns. Highly recommend this book if you enjoy more country type blocks.
