I ordered all of these books written by Marc Thil and I am just finishing up the last mystery. I am sorry that there are not more. I speak Spanish and I minored in French in college, 40 plus years ago and now I have decided to revive my French. I am semi fluent for speech and can read essays with no problem, but fiction often is harder for me. These mysteries are just at my level, very easy reading meant for perhaps 8 or 10 years olds, but this way I do not have to look up more than one or two words a chapter. Perfect bedtime reading! I hope he writes more!

A mystery thriller by Marc Thil which grabs you from the start. It can be read easily by even advanced beginner students but will introduce new vocabulary and idioms, most of which will be understood in context. For doubts there are always dictionary apps. I personally use the Larousse French-English Dictionary app which is more than adequate.While this is a children's book, I found it a lot of fun to read and keep my French skills sharp. It is well written and the plot is imaginative and exciting. Monsieur Thil is a very talented writer.

A lovely story of Alex and Violette, two adventurous young people who decide to explore a mysterious train that comes and goes at night along an abandoned track. There seems to be some unusual cargo and meetings of a group of secretive men. I read this book to hone my french for a visit to France I plan in May. It is easy enough that I could read it out loud and build my vocabulary and my comprehension. I recommend reading French out loud as a means of learning French, or any other language.

I'm really glad to share my thoughts about this fun read. I am an older student of the French language and this book was fairly easy to read and it kept my attention while keeping me in suspense. It made me feel young again and reminded me of the way young people act and feel. The grammar and the vocabulary is easily accessible for any age and ability.

I love all of Marc Thil's books. We are reading them in our French reading class. The stories are interesting and at the same time, we are learning vocabulary and grammar. He is a wonderful writer and there is always a moral to each story.

I have been studying French for a couple of years, and this book is right at my level. The story is well-written and entertaining. It's a great way to improve your French without the drudgery of studying a textbook. I hope the author eventually produces audio versions of his books so I can practice my listening skills.

I am at the intermediate level in the French language. I was pleased that this book provided me with new vocabulary and at the same time , it presented an interesting story.

Wonderful story for children in the age range 8-12, provided they can read French.

Really useful for beginner french

Mon fils a beaucoup aimé ce livre et il n'est pas un très grand amateur de lire. Le livre est interresant et captivant. Il l'a fini assez rapidement. Je pense que je vais acheter d'autre de la même collection.
