I can't believe it. Got it last night and replaced the OEM air filter with this K&N filter. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! The Audi S5 stock filter is good but still a bit restrictive. Factory says to replace it when 35k service. I say, replace it day ONE when you get the car, new or used. I was seeing a bit uneasy shaking when engine idle, also, when A/C is cranking and the engine in idle, it seems to be choking a bit. After the K&N went in, idle engine is smooth, the low purr is back and the throttle response is GREAT! When driving in comfort mode before K&N, it was a bit uneasy in first gear. The engine seem uncertain what it wants to do, take off or not take off, a bit hesitating. After K&N, in any mode, comfort or auto or dynamic, there's zero lag, no hesitation, it just wants to GO. Reminds me of the German Shepherd I had that when I walk her, she just wants to GO and pull me like I wasn't even there. My highest recommendation to ANYONE, install this as soon as possible. It feels like getting a new car or a performance chip installed.

I installed this in my 2012 Audi S5 Coupe with a 4.2L automatic. Fit perfectly and it DID come with the nuts and washers to install it into the stock airbox housing. No need to go the hardware to search for anything. It made a huge difference in power and smoothness. If you have an Audi, with a paper style air filter...THIS is what you need!

After I put this on my Audi s5 I can't get the mad airflow sensor to stop sending an error code.

Even though Amazon says this filter won't fit an Audi SQ5, it most certainly does fit my SQ5 perfectly fine. I bought this filter inspite of what Amazon says regarding it not fitting, it does fit indeed. I won't deny it is a fiddle getting the filter housing out of the car but that's Audi's dumb design not K&N's fault. Now I can actually hear the engine intake noise where as before with the stock filter I could not. Hearing the intake noise tells me this unit breaths more freely then then the stock filter. NICE sound by the way. Never put to much filter oil on this type of filter you can mess up your car's mass airflow sensor. This filter comes pre-oiled from the factory. Just install it. Next time you clean it and re-oil it just don't over do the amount of oil

Great filter as usual for K&N, but beware that it doesn't come with the washers and nuts you'll need to attach it to the air box (mine is a 2014 B8.5 Audi S4), even though the included installation instructions lists the hardware as 'included'.I'm attaching pictures of washers and nuts size (2 of each) you'll need. Got them at Home Depot. Hopefully it will save you the 30 minutes I wasted at the store trying to figure out the correct size....Good luck.

PEOPLE ALWAYS ASK HOW MUCH HP DO YOU GAIN...I NOW REPLY WITH HOW MANY DIDNT IT GAIN. AS IN INFINITY..THE LONGER U PRESS DOWN THE OLE GAS O LINE RELEASE THEN THINGS GETS TO A TRAPSEING AND A PRANCING FROM UNDER THAT HOOD. SOUNDS JUST LIKE IF A REAL LIVE HORSE WERE TRAPPED UNDER YOUR HOOD AND YOU SPOOKED THE EVERLIVING SHAT OUT OF IT. THE HEAD BANGING THE FUQ OUTTA THE METAL HOOD FOLLOWED BY ITS MASSIVE SPINE CRACKING ON THE BLOCK FINISHED WITH A SHARP HOOF SMACK ACROSS THE RADIATOR OVER AND OVER RINSE AND REPEAT.. LIMITLESS..I COULD NEVER AFFORD A CAVILER SO THIS AUDI S5 WILL HAVE TO DO..I MEAN I COULDN'T AFFORD TO DO THAT TO MYSELF , THATS SOCIAL SUICIDE.

I was finally getting around to installing this, then I found my intake was falling apart behind the filter. So I drove to my local speedshop the next morning and bought an 034 full intake. Who knows how long i was getting dirty air, but cant go another day knowing it, so natually while I was there I needed a tune and downpipes. To summarize, I just wanted to replace my filter, now I have a stage 1+ daily.

Worked as needed. Comes with sticker. Fits perfectly

filtro stupendo che regala aria, voce ed un paio di cavalli in piu' al motore. Montato sul sei cilindri in linea della mia audi a5 che ringrazia di cuore

Hört sich super an! Leider für den A4 2.0 TFSI eine Spur zu groß. Wer die Produktbeschreiben hier liest, ist klar im Vorteil.. :D

Filtre parfait. S'installe facilement et pour le moment il fait son travail. Je ne regrette pas mon achat
