Q: Can the L shape be the other way round so the cabinet on the left and the main desk kn the right?

I am using that way. I couldn't fix the main desk to the cabinet but still ok.

Q: There arent any pictures or details of inside the cupboard, is it a tower cupboard? I would want to put my computer in there away from my toddler

Yes can be used as tower storage. However I have a gaming pc and it's not deep enough for it. Check depth of your pc tower against depth of unit
