D'Addario Gypsy Jazz Acoustic Guitar Strings - EJ84M - Loop End - Medium, 11-45

My guitjo (banjitar) was overdue for a new set of strings and in the past, I’ve purchased individual phosphor bronze wound strings for it INDIVIDUALLY - The sizes that gave it the most gusto. Well after pricing up my individual string order, over $45 for 6 strings, I decided to try a standard ‘set of 11s or 12s’ guitar strings, but of course, couldn’t find that with loop ends like my guitjo needs… soooo… after a lot of research, I decided to give these a try and I love ‘em! Great tone. They installed smoothly. I cranked out a few aggressive tunes on them and they ‘took the beating.’ So far - very good! I’ll update this if there are any durability issues, but if I get a decent life span out of them, I’ll be very happy with them. I’ve been a very loyal D’addario string customer for many decades, and am still convinced - they’re the best!

I wanted to try to give my Washburn 000 size acoustic guitar a more jazzy sound and tried the silk and steel strings by martin and they sounded like junk (no surprise, martin makes awful strings) so I went with these and wow was I shocked at the magic tone these strings have ! It makes the guitar sound much richer with a great vibrato that gypsy jazz guitars are known for. I'll be making these my regular string rotation now I liked them so much. They work great, always stick with D'addario for strings, they're the king. Give these a try if you're thinking about it, you won't regret it!

Great strings, bright and loud, beautiful “la pompe” strumming technique sound. Good air protected package. Be sure to check the ball end or loop end option.

A friend of mine suggested these for me because I strictly play acoustic guitar, and I tend to do a lot of lead and finger picking. Heavier strings just aren't very good for that. They buzz too much and it requires a lot of pressure, etc. Even light strings, although significantly better than medium-heavy, were unsatisfying.These strings however, are magnificent. They're very noticeably unique, bearing a bright bouncy tone, and a clear ring wether you're sliding, or soloing, or anything else. I don't know how to describe it, but playing another guitar with any other strings feels like a different instrument. I don't plan on ever putting any other strings on my guitars(sans my classical)Lastly, I've heard the downside to these strings is that they don't last very long. I've been using them on my guitar about a month now and they look a little worn, but I think they're okay. Who knows? I'll update any extra info about it later.

Loved the sound of these strings...for about three days. After that the tone became quite muted. Great sound for swing/hot jazz initially then mostly good for practice. Really easy to play and great feel.

I don't know if it was real silver they use to make the strings but liked them , they last a good while and had a nice balanced tone to them , They are hard to find here my little capital city of Baton Rouge but we are still having some growing pains .

These strings are great on my Washburn acoustic guitar. The sound is extremely full. I purchased the medium set and they are great!!! No buzzing noises. Easy to string!! And you definitely cannot beat that price!!! Will be purchasing another set! I’ve played for 20 years (since I was 7) these strings are premium!!

I love these strings. I slapped them on my 25-year-old 410 Taylor and they just sound excellent great for strumming and singing songs or playing lead lines. They definitely winner I'll be using these again and again.

J'en avais un jeu d'avance et je l'ai monté sur ma petite guitare d'étude qui me sert à travailler à la maison et j'ai trouvé le son excellent. De plus elles semblent s'oxyder moins rapidement donc j'en ai commandé un autre jeu pour l'essayer sur ma guitare de concerts et jams...
