Cheap plastic
I was expecting a hard plastic. This is similar to a paint tray liner material. The sticky strips provided I didn’t even bother with as it was just skinny strips of paper. Wish I would have done my research and got something more durable for the price. In the end I do feel the air coming out from under table so it does the job. But my cardboard box I make shifted beforehand did too.

Works like a charm!
I love this product. I have three vents in my den with a cathedral ceiling and my sofa was covering one of the vents. My den stayed warmer than any other room in the house in the summer and cooler in the winter. I purchased this and an so happy that I did. I read the reviews and followed some advice from other reviews that worked well. I removed the vent cover and replaced it with this product. I have wood like tile floors, so I used packaging tape to secure the product to the floor. I actually bought two of these because my sofa is extra deep and I didn't think one extension would be long enough. It wasn't. I needed about 8 additional inches to reach the edge of my sofa, so I used the extender of the extra one. This works great. We are currently having over 104 heat index temps in the south, and I cannot tell a difference in temperature walking from one one to the next. I felt that the two sided tape strips that came with this product weren't very good, so that is why I opted for taping it down with packaging tape based on another review I read. The product itself isn't really heavy duty, but it works fantastically. I paid 15.00 for each, and I did think that was a bit pricy, however, it works so well, it was worth it. I recommend this product 100%.

very low quality
Flimsy plastic, and the included adhesive panels don't stick to my wood floors (but stick just fine to the plastic). Not worth the price I paid, but since the adhesive was already added I can't return it.

It works!!
We needed this for our living room badly. I didn’t want to have to rearrange the furniture because of the floor vent. I actually didn’t know these things existed lol I’m so glad I purchased it. I was very hesitant from reading the reviews and purchasing an expensive piece of plastic other reviewers were saying it wasn’t worth it. I have to say, I am so glad I got it!! The plastic is definitely not like the plastic from a salad container top like someone explained. No no! It definitely is different and DOES what it is meant to do!! The only thing is that it does not cover the entire vent, my husband already had vent tape and added it to the part that was not covered by the plastic vent extender. He also lined the plastic extender with the metallic vent tape and it works very very well. I’m glad I made the purchase. During the end of the summer is when we purchased it and now we have used it with the heat and we have had no problems with it. If you’re hesitant, don’t be!

WORKS GREAT!!!
I decide to get the vent extender. It is sold by Carol Wright Gifts. I have included some pictures below. Here is what I think about it. I paid full price for two sets. I just want to take the opportunity to leave a review.* two-piece vent extender* made of plastic* include sticky strips for securing to surfaceI have two spots my house where I have large pieces of furniture over the vents. There is a huge noticeable difference in the temperature of the room compared to the other rooms. I decided to get this vent to remedy this problem. They're made of plastic and have securing sticky tabs. They are two pieces. I found one piece would work perfectly for each of my pieces of furniture. I also did not use the sticky tabs because of having to vacuum the carpet. They worked immediately as expected. The heat is well redirected. The rooms are again warm. I do think they're slightly overpriced. I do appreciate that they work successfully and would recommend.

Works...sort of.
I got this for the only vent in a bedroom, where there's a low chest over the vent. I mention this because it may play into the works sort of comment. I found over time, perhaps because it was a snug fit between the floor and the furniture, that the centre collapsed. This functionally closed the vent half off. However a cat litter plastic lid in the centre propped it open again and it's now working fine. So in all, its a great idea but cheap material spoils the execution.

Works, could be a better fit
In my home, we have three different styles of registers (all 4" x 10"); some have narrower edges, and some wider. The width of this vent extender is narrow enough that it barely covers the air vent openings on any of the registers, but it's not wide enough that it's easy to secure it to the registers (it doesn't have a lip or anything that goes under the register edge). This means the vent extender can easily be blown off the register if you have a good amount of airflow.A little tape helps (I used some foil duct tape), but now I fear my register will forever have some sticky residue when I decide to move around the furniture in the room. It would be better if either there were a plastic lip on the back that could be tucked between the register and the floor, or magnets to hold the vent cover down.Anyways, the extender works okay, it's just not as well-designed as the one my parents had (which is how I found out about these vent extenders in the first place). Five star value, but three star function--so I'll give it four stars overall.

Exactly as Advertised
After reading the other reviews about this, I decided to give it a try. Yes, there really isn't much to it, and it may cost a little more than necessary, but over all, it does exactly as it advertises. We recently bought a new sofa, this new one sits higher up on legs than our previous one, so we said we would like to take advantage of that and direct the heat/air cond. away from behind the sofa (& basically out the windows), out into the living room. It has done just that. Even our dog discovered the new air flow when we had the air conditioner on. Now she lays right in front of the sofa, directly in line with the vent extender. I'm sure she will do the same thing when it comes time to turn on the heat. Overall: it is a little pricier than it needs to be, but if you are looking for a quick fix to your heating/cooling issue, this will do the trick.
