Hayward SX180HG Drain Cap and Gasket Replacement for Select Hayward Sand Filter

I bought this as a spare to have on hand, and I just had to use this on my sand filter because my original one cracked and fell off - drained my pool down to the bottom of the inlet/skimmer. Put this on as a replacement with no leaks the first time. Will get another just to have on hand. Definitely recommend.

I received exactly what was advertised and it fit perfectly - pool was back up and running in no time.

Lost the gasket for the previous cap but couldn't find just gasket. Made this a speedy but necessary fix. I used a little plumber tape and it works. Careful not to cross thread and its not necessary to prove your power by over tightening.

The cap is about the size of the inner diameter of the drain, and thus, will definitely not fit. I have seen replies on other reviews for this part that indicate that it could require a different cap depending on the year the filter was manufactured, which I'm figuring must be the case.
