Great health benefits, tastes good
I ordered this after doing some research on its health benefits. Studies have shown it helps fight viruses. Have made it twice already and I think it’s tasty, especially with a little honey. Great as ice tea as well.

Legit stuff
There's a study you can find on the benefits of cistus for recovery from flu called"Cistus incanus (CYSTUS052) for treating patients with infection of the upper respiratory tract"which shows the polyphenols in cistus significantly helps reduce flu symptoms by days 4 - 7total polyphenols used were 220 mg ,-People often say you need to re-infuse this multiple times to extract more polyphenols but the standard 1 time is better - the highest polyphenol content is extracted on first brew. boil and let it sit in there for 10-15 minutes (can cover the top if wanted) and vast majority is gained.^ there's a study called "The effect of Cistus incanus herbal tea supplementation on oxidative stress markers and lipid profile in healthy adults" that shows the highest gain comes from 1st extraction-Each 1g of cistus will get you 50mg - 100mg of polyphenols, so averaging 75mg you would need 3 teas with 1 gram of tea in each to replicate the flu recovery study, drank on empty stomach. - if you have a 1teaspoon scoop 1 gram of this tea comes to pretty much exactly a flat scoopOnly thing to note is polyphenols chelate iron - so maybe not the best for day to day use over weeks & months if you are typically low in iron/ferritin (but maybe good this way if you're on the high end).Looks good for 1 week use acutely when coming down with a cold , 3 teas 1gram each daily
