Electric Machines and Drives

Excellent book (made even better by an excellent professor). One of the few that have ended up on my desk at work. It isn't the in-depth-everything-you'll-ever-need-to-know type book, but is small and light enough to make an excellent quick reference when you need it.I was initially surprised by how small this book actually is, but once we started going through it in class I discovered there is actually quite a bit of material covered in it. The chapters are fairly well written, my only beef was in trying to find some of the formulas. There are so many equations on some of the pages they all start to blend together sometimes. The questions at the end of the chapter were well done and force you to think through the material.Note that my opinion of the book may be skewed by how much I enjoyed taking the class, more specifically because of an awesome instructor.

Like many looking at this book, I bought it because I did not want to spend the absurd amount of money that is charged for the standard edition. The reason I gave this book 5 stars is because it is IDENTICAL TO THE US EDITION. In all ways, this is the same. The text, the problems and the examples are the same. Don't waste your money on the 60-100$ version, just buy this one.

great book with great price recommend it to any person interested in this field. the shipment was great and the delivery time was average. the book was in good condition and I hope it stays that way for a while. well packaged and clearly illustrated for any study reasons. the seller was great and the purchase was on time as said on line.the price of the book was very attractive compared to other book prices online, it was unbeatable and I could not help but buy it. the book itself is worth more than I paid for because the material in it are worth for more than I paid for it therefore, i am very happy in buying it.

Very good technical details for motors n drives principles

Hate this book. Very poorly written.Problems are confusing and often refer to different example. Don't understand why professors use this book as text book

This was the text book for my engineering course. It is really helpful and helps you build the theoretical knowledge about motors and drives.

This - and indeed all other books by Ned Mohan - is very interesting. It introduces modern electrical engineering with a fresh style, many examples and exercices are given.The only problem is the price, which is absolutely prohibitive.

Looks great, is a textbook, has pages, has hardcover. I bought it for a university course, but we never used it. It was a lot cheaper than the bookstore though.

This is as the sub-title says: "A first Course".This book is well written and clear for someone who is looking for a general understanding of the topic.I was personally mislead as I did not pay attention to the sub-title. As it was one of the reference books for one of my graduated course, I thought it was at the right level but it turned out that I did not learned anything from that book that I did not already knew.So, be careful, if you have already passed the introduction level and have a relatively good knowledge of the subject, this book is not for you.
