Kalanchoe tomentosa is also known as the panda plant and pussy ears because it has thick, soft and furry leaves. This succulent is a native to Madagascar and its foliage is covered in fine hairs. This enables it to be an efficient drought-tolerant plant that does not require high humidity. It enjoys free-draining soil and a bright indoor position.Water well, but allow the compost to dry out between waterings.Take care not to make the foliage wet as this can cause it to rot.The plant branches from a central stem and the fleshy leaves taper to a point.Leaves are silvery green, with reddish-brown edges. Not hardy in the UK, but it can go outdoors during the summer. It rarely flowers indoors. Can grow up to 30cms tall as a house plant.Has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit.Sold in a 14cm pot x 1
