Frigidaire 241860812 Frigidare Ice Container Assembly for Refrigerator

For a long time I could not get ice out of the door of my Frigidaire refrigerator. The repair company wanted over $400 to get the part and replace it. I got the part number after paying them $68. to come to tell me what was wrong. I ordered the part here on Amazon and replaced it myself. Saved over $250 in labor cost. I love Amazon!!!!

After many fixes and parts and pieces, this was my final fix that made it right! Easy but not for the feint of heart, tricky getting harness connected but not related to product more a design issue. Working great making lots of ice again!

We've had this fridge about 10 years and this is the 3rd ice crusher unit we had to replace. We like the crushed ice feature but the plastic parts that support the ice crusher feature will not hold up over time. If you use the ice crusher feature, just figure you are going to have to replace it every few years.

I bought this item before and it was a good fit and quality. This ice bin was not of the same quality ( the plastic felt thinner or more flimsy and did not fit as well. I always hope that the Company you order from will always provide items of quality, which I did not get this time. I guess this is the chance you take when you order online.

Cheap aluminum roller inside, lasted 4 months, the blades inside keep bending. Would not recommend even as a cheap replacement

This item worked perfectly and was the least expensive replacement we could find, and a Genuine part as well. Our original dispenser had broken, I was grateful to find a not too expensive replacement- hopefully to last as long as the FRIG does!
