Adventure Awaits!!!
This narrative, brought to us by the author and stories related by others who were there, is a high seas adventure that you cannot put down. It's not a story about Titanic, but what it takes to get to, stay at, dive down, and ultimately bring the ship and its story to the WORLD (quite literally in this case). This book begins with the 1996 expedition and mostly its failed attempt to bring to the surface the 'Big Piece'. In 1998 RMS Titanic Inc. would return (twice) to not only finish what was started in '96, but to raise the stakes even higher by making two network documentaries at sea, one for Dateline and most importantly the LIVE broadcast from the wreck. Between problems with the fleet of ships brought out, to the equipment failure of the various ROVS and technologies, along with the "perfect storm" brewing and fast approaching this isn't some fictional Clive Cussler novel, but real people and their first hand accounts of braving the elements, conquering the setbacks and facing every challenge with the unified goal of bringing Titanic back to life. This is the modern human story of Titanic and it is written and put together wonderfully. The pacing is perfect, and the story moves along page after page leaving you wanting to read more. You feel the excitement, the joy, the hope, the disappointments and the fear. You feel like your on the ships - through the lull of ship board life, the various pros and cons of eating and sleeping, riding the Zodiacs from one ship to the other and the community that develops between them all.I hope to one day visit the wreck myself... but until that day arrives this is probably as close as I will get to experiencing such an adventure, and its one I will gladly keep taking! Thanks for bringing this story to us!

Relive an important dive to Titanic
Have you ever wondered what it was like to be on a Titanic expedition? The author Bill Willard has given readers the ultimate insight as to being on the journey to go down to the Titanic and recover the infamous “big piece”.He thoughtfully compiles memories from everyone involved and also clears up any misconceptions about the mission. There have been other books about various dives, but this one stands out as the most thorough. It’s been almost 35 years since the French-American expedition found the great ship, and a book like this shows there is still a lot to be learned. This is definitely a book every Titanic book should have in their library.

In-depth reporting
A must-read for every true Titanic enthusiast. This is a comprehensive account of the ground-breaking 1998 expedition to the Titanic, including information on the live TV broadcast and the raising of "The Big Piece" from the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. The book includes first-hand accounts from those involved in the expedition, including both their challenges and their triumphs.

Loved it
I remember watching the live show from this expedition back when I was a kid. It was so exciting at the time so this book brought back some memories. It was really cool to get the whole backstory on how that came together as well as everything else that happened on the expedition. I really recommend it if you have any interest in the wreck or expeditions at sea.
