I bought a pair of these many years ago and have used them many times as needed. I've also tried a few other brands over the years (just to try), but these are the best ones. When the first ones wore out after about 25 years), I knew I had to get another pair from the same company. One note: My old ones had a big hole in the middle for the knee cap, which was ok but a little annoying when the brace slid down a little after a lot of walking. The NEW ones do NOT have the knee cap hole, which I like MUCH BETTER! If the brace slides down a little (after a few hours), I don't even notice it; it still feels great and they give superb support and do a great job of alleviating my knee pain. Highly recommended!

Worked for me

I have bone on bone on one chin joint and close to that on another. It really hurt me to walk over 50 yards. I was at the point I was using a cane. Things like yard work, playing golf, riding a bike, even grocery shopping without a electric cart, were out. I started using these knee braces (the ones with the metal rod on the sides) 5 years ago. I'm on my 3rd set (one set wore out but the other set is fine, they just got to stained with common use so I got a new pair and use the old for yard work. I wear them constantly (except to bed). My knee condition improved 100% within the first month of wearing. I can now do all the things I use to do, except walk long distances without a break (a 1/2 mile or so my knees start to ache). I play golf (with cart). I do yard work fine. I can ride a bike, so far over 10 miles without a break, with very little pain. My Doctor says I still need a knee replacement. I tell him I will get one when my knees start to hurt again even while using these knee braces. If I try to do anything without them now, my knees do start to ache after about 10 minutes. They definitely work. Great alternative to try before major knee replacement.

Tried numerous more expensive similar style braces, including those that provide bands that criss cross across the knee. This Ace is half the price, more comfortable and much less bulky than the others. And for my knee issues, MUCH MORE EFFECTIVE. My knee slides in every direction causing grinding and pain.. The braces with the criss crossed bands tend to slide my knee out of alignment. This brace keeps it in the normal position of a healthy knee. Much more stable. If ur knee is "sloppy", I recommend this brace.
