The Art of Angel Sanctuary 2: Lost Angel Hardcover – 31 Oct. 2007

As a HUGE fan of Kaori Yuki (Angel Sanctuary was the first manga I ever read)I would most definitely recommend this book to fans of Kaori Yuki's work especially those who have read and loved her !EPIC! Angel Sanctuary series.The book itself is hardcover and the quality of the paper and printing is top-notch. The art is detailed and beautifully presented but this is so much more than just an art book acting as an ecyclopedia for all things Angel Sanctuary with a glossary of terms and biographies of ALL the characters that appeared throughout the 20 volume series. However, the most insightful part of the book was the in-depth interview with the author herself where she discusses the creative process, her inspirations, her career as a manga-ka as well as her favourite scenes and characters complete with first sketches. If you haven't read Angel Sanctuary (or Tenshi Kinryouku to give it its Japanese title) read it now preferably before you buy this book as it contains more than a few spoilers for those who haven't finished reading the series but if your fan of Angel Sanctuary and Kaori Yuki you won't regret purchasing this amazing book. 5 Stars!!!

I'm thrilled that the Angel Sanctuary Artbooks have been translated in to English and are being distributed. The series is a wonderful mix of Fantasy, Sci-Fi and other themes! This artbook is a brilliant companion to the series; not only is it packed with the wonderful art work of Kaori Yuki but it also has information and insights in to her world.This book is far superior to it's sister book (the first artbook, called Angel Cage) and if you had to choose I would recomend this one as it is more refined and has insights in to all elements of the Manga series; beginning to end.As the other reviewer mentions; read Angel Sanctuary before you read this product if you are new the series. It's 20 books long, but well worth every penny spent! The artwork is gorgeous, the story is gripping and the characters are wonderful.I would certainly recomend this franchise to everyone and anyone that cares to listen!
