A Double-Dip of What You May Already Have???
I was excited to hear about a new King Kobra collection since this highly underrated band from the 80`s deserves a remastered set of hits. Well what I recieved was a "collection" of 2 cds I already had. The first is actually King Kobra 3..the hard to find third release. I at least expected this to be re-mastered right? Wrong...the cd is an exact rehash of the poor production that made this release disappear in the first place? The 2nd cd is actually the rarities & B-side collection "Hollywood Trash" originally released in 2001. So buyer beware...this is NOT a new Remastered King Kobra collection. This band absolutely deserves a new greatest hits cd. Instead they give us this "new" collection. If you already have the 2 cds represented on this cd DO NOT get this collection. Still holding out hope for the first REMASTERED KING KOBRA best of collection!!!

Do Not Be Fooled - this is not really a collection.
My wife gave me King Kobra's Kollection for Christmas and I wanted to give anyone who is interested an overall review:1. 2cd set - always nice to get 2 discs in a package, really no linear notes, just a sleeve with writing credits on the back.2. CD #1: is essentially King Kobra "III" remastered. I have the original cassette version and a download version as well. It is nice to finally get a remastered version of "III". It completes my KK collection IMO.3. CD #2: Is a disappointment though. If you have KK's "Hollywood Trash", then there is really no point to having this release if you don't have KK "III" and not wanting to spend an arm and a leg for an original "III". I was a little upset by the fact that the second disc is a rehash of "Hollywood Trash". The only perk about disc #2 is that it includes a bonus track not on the original Hollywood Trash, entitled "Subway", featuring C.C. DeVille (from Poison)...I have always heard about this track way back when they were recording this album, but it got left off for various reasons. It is not a bad track, but nothing to write home about.4. Overall, I initially thought this was a Greatest Hits collection, not knowing a track listing in advance.....it is very misleading IMO, but the advantage is that I have a remastered copy/version of KK "III". Overall I would rate this so-called "Kollection" a C- , mainly for being misleading that it is a collection....which it is really not a collection of anysorts, it is just two previous albums remastered and stuck into a 2-disc set.DISC 1:King Kobra "III" (1988-OOP) remastered1. Sound quality kills it
This would be a decent collection of songs if it did not have such terrible sounds quality. This was put out in 2010 and could have at the very least had the volume level pumped up. Not worth the money unless you do not have King Kobra III.
