Assembled Peregrine Falcon Bird Kite Wind Sock

My husband's second. His son purchased his first about 4 years ago and after years of carefully handling, it was time for newer one. Ease of assembly.

Don’t bring this to the park unassembled lest you have to deal with a small child meltdown. For $47 you’d think they’d throw at least a cheap spool of string into the tube.

Kite is used to scare away starlings from my vineyard. It looks realistic and the birds don't like it.

This product is NOT worth $40, mainly because it's flimsy paper. Do not be fooled by the seemingly "3D" picture, it's rolled up paper that is difficult to uncurl and will only look like the picture under perfect wind conditions.To be fair I did not have a chance to test how effective it is at deterring birds... perhaps if you're a kit expert, or are willing to spend hours setting it up, but that's not what I thought I was buying with this product.Thank you Amazon for a hassle-free return!

It flies beautifully - just like a real hawk. I didn't buy the pole that came with it, because it was already expensive without it. But without the pole, the falcon just batters itself against whatever its hanging from, until it can't fly at all anymore.

We have ordered this product from the seller direct in the past, but used Amazon this time because we wanted it quickly. We have always ordered it "unassembled," but this time paid the extra $20 ($60 instead of $40) for the described "assembled" bird. The product arrived "unassembled." It is not hard to put together, however, we would not have paid the extra money for the assembly if it truly was not "assembled." We are not returning it and will assemble it ourselves - but Amazon should not describe it as assembled.

I used a long bamboo pole about 9 feet long with 6 feet of lead wire looks great flying.

Hung outside a LearningByNature.org client preschool to deter swelling ground squirrel population. Kids love watching it too. The lanyard broke after 2 months, so will need to upgrade to a much higher strength cord next spring. Feels costly for the product received.
