Perfect on beef
My local butcher sells this same product for double the price, buying from Amazon was a great deal. Brings out flavor in steaks and roasts. Let the rub sit on the beef for an hour or so before cooking. Does not disappoint.

My Fiancé went to the store on her way home and picked up some steaks while I was sleeping. She has been a vegetarian for the past 15+ years so when she buys steaks or any kind of meat I am like uh oh. She came home with this strip steaks that were about six inches in diameter, four inches in width and at least two inches thick. To say the least, they were not cheap. So I got my char crust seasoning out and covered both side of the steak. I usually don't do this but I had read that it is better to let the steaks come to room tempature before cooking them. I went out and started my gas grill and cleaned off the grates and waited until they got pretty hot on fairly high heat. I put the steaks on the grill along with her piece of salmon that she had bought and went and cut the grass on the front yard. Once I was done, I came back and opened the grill cover and flipped the steaks over. I was very impressed with the appearance of the steaks with the rub on them. Dark brown and you could tell they had a crust on them. I let them cook on the other side and took them off the grill. I would say they were on there for a total of about 12-15 minutes. Once I began to cut into the first steak I knew I had made a good steak. Outside was crusted and the inside was pink and juicy. I think its fair to say that the rub forms a very nice crust on the outside and locks in a lot of moisture. Also, instead of using a fork to flip them I used thongs to not poke a hold in the steaks. I cannot wait to use this on pork and other things. I promise you will not be disapointed

My Favorite Seasoning for Meat
I discovered this product a few years ago. I have since given it as gifts to my friends that love to cook. We all agree this is an excellent line of spices! This is my personal favorite, but there are more that are offered by the company. A little goes a long way and this is worth the price! Try it and ENJOY!
