I tested this with a pressure gauge, adjusted it to my liking, and installed it in just a matter of minutes. Very pleasant experience.

The one pictured has steel nuts with machine screws to secure the main body seal whereas the one sent has course threaded screws to secure it into the plastic. The reason I bought this one with the treaded screws and nuts was that the plastic failed after a few years and it started leaking at the seal. After pulling it apart to see what happened, it wasn't a very good design and failed at its weakest point of the plastic body. This one looks like a better design, so it might hold up, and why I didn't go through the hassle of sending it back. It's working, so I can't blame the part, at least not yet. Other than the wrong part, I would have given you folks a 5 star.

My in-home water distiller was down. I determined the reason was too much incoming pressure. I sought a "quick fix" as I awaited the manufacturer's back order. The Amazon product arrived, got installed and was working in less than 4 days. Kudos to the supplier, this is a simple to use pressure reduction valve. I have cancelled my order from the manufacturer. If ever I face this issue again, I will not hesitate to purchase again.

The ice maker on my older model Kennemore refrigerator was overfilling the tray. This worked perfectly to reduce the amount of water in the tray.

調整バルブが超固いです。素手は絶対に不可能。大きめのマイナスドライバーでも小さくて無理！超巨大な2倍の広さくらいのマイナスドライバーじゃないと、プラスティックが変形するだけで水流調節なんかできないかと。さりとて、コインが入る大きさでもない。。入っても1円玉サイズ。力は入れられない。。僕は大きいピンセットの裏側を使いましたが、手がすごく痛くなるくらい力を入れないとダメ。。ROの排水側の水流調節に、使ったのですが、肝心の水流は、全然絞れず。。でも、限界までパワーで絞れば、ほんのちょっと製水が出てくるので、多少は効果ある。。？そして、力一杯閉めたせいで、もう緩められなくなりました。。。すまんが返品するわ。。。これが星4評価のわけがない。。。

Used for our under sink RO and it only partially works. It allows pressure to build up. So if we use it without running the main cold water for 10 seconds first, it will still allow the line to whine.A proper PRV doesn't need the water to be flowing for it to do its job. It should ALWAYS be different pressures on either side of the line.The last PRV we had eliminated that. I will be replacing it with one that works.

It does what it says it does but even “wide open” it restricts the flow a little too much. I got this to slow down the flow of water from my fridge, but wide open it slows it down too much so I couldn’t use it.
