Inexpesnive insurance to emergency situations
I use these on two Baofeng UV-5R's that are set up for weather radio/a local channel to keep in touch with my family. I wanted the extra battery capacity and these delivered. They fit fine and charged fine on the existing chargers. The battery life is a dramatic improvement. It also makes the radio a little easier to hold for bigger hands.

Filed striker for best fit.
One battery I did need to file the striker on the battery slightly for it to clip securely.

To get what I paid for to be what it's supposed to be
They didn't lock in place properly. I had to trim the case to get them to work. I suspect it is due to faulty molding process.

Exactly what I wanted!
I bought these batteries after continuing to use the short ones that came with my Baofeng uv-5r for five years! The radios are much more balanced in my hand now. The don't fall over as easily with the thicker antenna attached to the radio And the extra battery life is incredible! Why did I wait so long?

Work Great and Perfect Fit Right Out of the Box
I ordered this 2-pack battery kit from Mirkit and found them to work perfect and fit my UV-5Rs without any issue. I have 3 UV-5Rs, and I had ordered the standard BTECH one for my first UV-5R. That battery didn't work at first, and wouldn't seat properly on the radio at the contacts. It turned out that there was a small piece of plastic (residual from the manufacturing process) that was blocking the contacts, and it didn't take much to clean it up. That batter worked fine after that, but these two Mirkit edition batteries had no problems at all right out of the box.Perfect fit and so far they are working just great.

Does not last any longer than standard battery..
I tried these with 4-5 recharge cycles and they dont last any longer than standard 1800 mAh batteries..Also bought 2x 3800 mAh from a different seller which lasts more than twice as long as these!I suspect these are not genuine Baofeng batteries.. I will be returning these...

Make great radio greater!
The shortfall to these radios is the lack of USB charging. This fixes that plus extends your talk time. It gives you a battery to work on while one is in the cradle. Win win. Fits perfectly.
