This is a truly beautiful, handsome bag. Its looks can't be beat and I love that it is available in my favorite color, dark red. I am happy with the features, pockets, zippers, compartments, and the bag's dimensions. I like that it has two separate main compartments so I can put my knitting in one and everything else in the other. I can store my Kindle safely in the middle zippered compartment. There's a more shallow pocket for small things and a place to clip my pens. It's capacious so I can put shopping items in there as necessary and keep my "carries" to one bag. The top of this bag I can leave unzipped for quick access or zipped for security. The outer pocket is just the right size. My I Phone goes in there and out conveniently and the pocket is big enough to hold one of the larger "S" phones if necessary, again with the option of unzipped for quick access or zipped for security. It's nice to have the four brass "feet" for when I put the bag on the floor. The lining is a beautiful, creamy satin in a dark color; I prefer lighter-colored linings so items don't just disappear into a "black hole" and become hard to find; I keep a small flashlight in a small pocket near the top to help with this. Baggallinis have a thin internal clip attached to the inside of the bag for quick retrieval of keys and it would be nice if this bag had one. In the absence of such a key strap, it's important to me to have external hardware on which I can clip my keys with a carabiner and this bag allows me to do that. It's good the strap length is adjustable, but in order to quickly hitch the bag over my shoulder using only one hand, I need to have the buckled straps in the last hole, which means the strap doesn't extend down into the placeholder. I will see if this becomes a problem; it would be better if the strap in the last hole was a little longer so it could be secured. The only other negative for me is that overall, with my stuff in it, it's pretty heavy. I knew this large, feature-rich leather bag would have to be heavier than my usual Baggallini nylon bags and for most younger people this will probably not be a problem. It is challenging for me because I am older, have spinal issues, and walk with a cane. Still it's a beautiful, useful bag and I like it a lot. It is an incredible, beautiful, thoughtfully-designed bag for such a reasonable price. I've seen far more expensive bags that are less attractive and have far fewer features.

This bag is beautiful and practical. It's really easy to organize and retrieve things. Some info that I hope is useful:Pros:--You can fit a 15" laptop in the side compartment if you don't zip the bag.--The outside side zipper pocket has room for an iPhone 7 plus with room to spare. So does one of the inside open pockets as well as the inside side zipper pocket. So there are 3 places to put your phone.--The two open pockets inside where you can slip sunglasses, etc. are finished at the top with what seems like a leather cord. It's gorgeous finishing and makes the pockets stronger.Cons:--The top zipper isn't sewn into the bag at one end, so it can flap out. A lot of bags are like this but that's not shown in the photos so I thought I'd mention it. I don't love that style because you usually need to hold one end of the zipper to zip it up. Plus I don't love the way it looks. But I keep it tucked into the bag and I might try sewing it in.--The buckle on the outside only buckles if it's on the 3rd hole or shorter. I don't have a tape measure or I'd tell you the handle length at that hole, but I'm 5'1" and the handle is long enough for me to carry the bag easily. I would've preferred it if I could make it longer, though, without ruining the look of the buckle.--The bag came without any tissue paper stuffing. This meant it was creased and the handles were tangled when I got it. I put some rolled up towels in it and hung it from a doorknob for a few days to get the creases out, but the handles are still not smoothed out perfectly yet. I contacted the seller and they were super nice. They immediately discounted it because of the creases and it seems like that's not typically the way they ship.I'm not into expensive designer bags so maybe I'm not the best judge, but to me this bag looks polished, professional, and sturdy. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I love it. Five stars.

9/7/2020 Update: Still have it, use it everyday as a professional. Fabric inside and zippers all work, no tears. No scuffs on bag at all, looks the same as when I got it. Over time, it has gained that lovely sag that leather bags offer without the leather! Get compliments on it all the time and am tempted to buy the black one!From original purchase: Broke many a bag. I am an accountant while taking night classes so I have to carry planners, makeup to hide the dark eyes and face, carry my many HEAVY books and papers but I don't want to look juvenile. I wanted a bag that was polished and professional but looked luxurious. I broke my one true love, my Mango bag (she lasted 4 years, which was awesome) and replaced her with one large beautiful Bebe (broke in two months UGH). This bag, however, is beautiful, great quality for a great price. It looks deceptively expensive. You will be happy you chose this to carry your life around. Get ready for compliments and inquiries.2018 update: this glorious bag is still going strong, very minimal scuffing, looks as great as the day I got it...2 years ago! Still in great shape.

This bag is just what I was looking for. I like the look of the Madewell tote, but I didn't want to spend $150+ for a bag. This bag is lined which was a must for me, has a middle zipper pocket divider, two side media pockets, and a side zipper pocket with another zipper pocket on the outside, basically it's going to hold everything I need (iPad, Nook, planner, wallet, large enough for files) with room to spare! Plus the top zips too and I love that for traveling. It is big, but I feel like it is durable. It just arrived a few days ago, but I am planning on using it for a long time!
