It tried to kill me!
I've used this umbrella regularly since I received it a year and a half ago and have never had any problems. In fact, I loved it. It's really sturdy which makes it perfect for windy days and the auto open/close feature is great because it can be opened and closed with one hand, which frees up my other hand when I have to carry stuff. It seemed like the perfect umbrella for me...until it tried to kill me.I was sitting on my bed minding my own business. The umbrella was on the other side of the room in my lunch bag that I use for work. It was protruding, almost vertically, from the top of the bag (handle side up) as it was obviously too big for the bag.Suddenly, I heard KAPLOINK! I jumped as the noise had startled me. But before I could turn to the direction that the noise came from, I heard the clatter of an object hitting the wall above my head, followed by the soft thud as it landed on the bed next to me. I looked down only to find that it was the handle of the umbrella, sitting next to me on the bed. I looked over at where the umbrella would have been, and noticed a really long spring sitting on the floor in front of it.I was shocked! A few inches lower and it would have hit me square in the head. I felt betrayed. I had grown very fond of this umbrella. I thought we had a really good thing going but, in the end, it actually hated me and wanted me dead. But, like my past toxic relationships, I'm going to give it another try because I loved it before it tried to kill me.So I'm buying another one!

This is the umbrella to have
I am the type of person who never uses an umbrella. I wear a rain jacket (sometimes) and if it rains, well I just get wet. Who needs an umbrella? Well since I started walking a couple of blocks to pick up my daughter from Kindergarten I thought it would be a good idea to have one for those rainy afternoons. I am definetly glad I have it since it decided to rain right at pick up time.Once of the reasons I didn't care to have an umbrella is because most just seem to break the second it gets a little windy. While standing out in the rain with all the other parents with umbrellas, I noticed that my umbrella had several more wires (not sure what the technical name is) than everyone else's umbrella. I actually read that in another review and I have to say mine looked a lot more stable than all the other umbrellas. It is not a huge umbrella but plenty big to fit two adults comfortably. (I let a parent that I didn't know stand under my umbrella while we waited and we could stand at a comfortable distance so it wasn't awkward.)So far I am pretty happy with my first umbrella.

Great Umbrella for the Price
The wrist strap broke on first use. That's not a huge deal breaker for me though. It looks and feels like an expensive umbrella. Once opened, I couldn't fit it back in the nylon sleeve, but that's what the nice leather case is for, right? The auto close is a great feature. You still have to manually collapse it to be able to open it again, but it's nice and quick so you can board the bus or get inside quickly without getting too wet. It's a bit longer than most travel umbrellas and a little heavier, but it's also better made, so that's fine with me. I've only used it once in a fairly light rain and wind, but it seems like it's going to hold up very well in the wind. The wind "grabbed" it a little because of the way I was holding it, but it gave no indication of trying to turn inside out so I trust it will be fine in heavier wind. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase and it's so nice that I forgot I decided on the cheaper option instead of a $20 umbrella. If you want a nice looking, sturdy umbrella and don't want to spend a lot, I highly recommend you choose this one

Love this Umbrella!!!
I waited to write a review on this umbrella to get a few months of use first to be certain of my own opinion of it, because other compact umbrella's that I have purchased over my years, usually only last for a range of a couple of days to a few weeks, before it breaks (rusting/entire umbrella inverting because of wind, or weakly-made hinges snapping failing to hold up), leaving me soaked and holding what is left of a sad-looking contraption, trying to stay dry...This umbrella is SUPERB, you can feel how well made it is just by opening it up and holding it. I love the function that the umbrella collapses with the press of the button, which enables you to do it with one-hand!!! Great when entering cars, and through doors. It holds up very well in all weather (windy/pouring), never ran into any issues yet, very durable and dependable, no signs of rust or breaking. In summation, I am very satisfied this purchase!!

Good quality umbrella
This a good quality umbrella. The shaft seems thicker than other collapsible umbrellas I've had, which have bent out of shape and were hard to open and close. So hopefully this won't happen with this one.I like how the canopy is slightly wider than similar collapsible umbrellas, thus giving more protection from the elements. It's fairly easy to open, not as smooth as another one I had from a different company, but it works ok.I had it turn inside out a couple of times. From my experience the number of ribs have not much to do if it turns inside out. I had a different umbrella with less ribs and it never turned inside out because it had a vent allowing for the air to go through. If this would have a vent I would give 5 stars.I like how the handle is longer than other smaller umbrellas.Overall it's good quality and I would recommend this product.

Sturdy, large, and heavy folding umbrella
Just purchased. Much larger coverage area than other folding umbrellas I have had. Perfect for a heavy straight down rain. Probably will also perform well in a somewhat strong wind. I was slightly concerned when I tried to push the umbrella together which is the last step in closing it. I did it slowly as I didn't want to break it. If you do it slowly, it hits a ridge in the telescopic mechanism which makes you think that the umbrella may be defective. When I did it in one quick, fast motion, it worked fine and I imagine it will loosen up more over time. I like very much your fake leather cover, but it is very difficult to get on your thin nylon cover. I wish it was slightly larger.

Failed
Bought it for the rainy monsoon season. So it rained yesterday, and I was excited to try it out, and I confidently walked in the rain. It did okay for a while, until 5 minutes in, where my face got wet, from water droplets trickling. I looked up, turns out the umbrella LEAKED IN A FEW PLACES. What a disaster. Build quality is good and felt premium in the hand. BUT it failed the one and only thing it is supposed to do, which is to keep out the rain.

Strong and easy opening/closing
The automatic opening and folding is really good. Liked the springs on each of the spokes which will strengthen the umbrella.
