Great hay. Opened the box and can smell fresh orchard hay. Love Oxbow. My rabbit and chinchilla love this hay it’s fresh and is soft. 9 pounds great deal.

Love this brand so much I had to buy it in bulk! It lasts a very long time, and the hay always smells great with amazing quality. My babies go crazy over this one in particular and I supplement it in with their Timothy hay. This is also amazing for those who have allergies to hay in general. The bulk box if extremely affordable as well and you get so much.

Go to hay for my buns. They are very picky and don’t like the Oxbow timothy hay. And other brands are just so much more expensive. The orchard grass hay has been a live saver. My vet told me if perfectly fine for my buns to live off the orchard grass instead of timothy as long as they actually eat it and they do!! I subscribe to this box and pretty much it’s always fresh.

Its well packaged and a softer type of hay. It was fresh and all was good but my chinchilla did not like it. I have given him Timothy hay all his live so maybe that is why. It appeares fresh and softer than timothy hay for sure as well as thinner strands.

After buying this product for 2 years, I thought I was suddenly developing a bad allergy to my guinea pigs. I've had them for almost 4 years and switched to orchard hay 2 years ago because Timothy hay caused rashes and respiratory symptoms. My guineas love to roll in the hay and over the past month, I began developing horribly itchy rashes every time I handled them. Last night I got a piece of hay stuck in my sleeve and the rash developed quickly. This morning I took a fresh piece of hay out of the box and gently wiped across my skin and instantly developed the hives. I then realized it was the hay. As I went through the hay to throw it out, I found several seed heads that looked like Timothy hay to me. Went and bought new orchard hay (different brand) and compared the seed heads. This oxbow hay was definitely something different and from my reaction, I'm assuming Timothy. Made me totally lose trust in the brand and will not be buying again. Almost thought I'd have to rehome my babies because the rashes were horrible, despite daily antihistamines. I've had several boxes where the quality was doubtful over the past year (brown, dried, dusty) but I kept buying it because it was a cheap solution to feed my pets without allergic reactions killing me. No more now.

3.5 stars. Hit or miss on quality. Amazon delivers it sometimes on time or sometimes days later when I’m completely out. Every now and then you’ll find a dead mouse but with this much hay in a package I wasn’t bothered. It’s for my outdoor tortoise. But sometimes the quality is amazing and sometimes it’s just so so.

Honestly, this is one of the more affordable bulk packages that is not too large. Our bunny loves the hay and it affects our allergies less compared to the mixed one. This also helped his leaky eye which may be due to possible allergy to mixed bag.

Hit and miss with any hay, depending on the season and crop. Sometimes the hay is bright green and fragrant and other times duller with brown stands. Too much dust and short strands, for such expensive hay, and the price is crazy for hay. I do favor oxbow or small pet select for orchard hay, much better for those with allergies and hayfever

If u have money then this is a must buy.

Une horreur ! Tout le foin est compressé ! Pourquoi ne pas avoir conservé l'ancien emballage où le foin était de qualité ? Là j'ai reçu 4 kg de miettes, c'est inadmissible ! J'ai dû mettre toutes ces miettes poussiéreuses dans 2 sacs plastiques, je les renvoie à Amazon pour remboursement, mais j'aimerai bien que Oxbow prenne ses responsabilités et me renvoie un foin de qualité, avec très longues tiges comme à l'époque avec Optinac ! Je suis en colère et aussi déçue, que mange notre lapin en attendant ?

My pigs love this hay! I’m allergic to Timothy hay and less so with Orchard, so this stuff is great for me too. Happy piggies
