I purchased this product for my she is 5 month old and very active ...she is learning to crawl and then she looks down at the shapes and tries to pick them up later she will be learning each shape

First of all, this foam mat is soft, and it's extremely easy/quick to assemble. Each shape can also pop out of the mats, so it might be useful as an educational tool, I suppose. Though at half an inch, these pieces themselves are thin, and the interconnected pieces pop out easily. Instead of putting all the pieces together and laying them flat, you can also prop up the sides (as I have done). But because the pieces are somewhat flimsy, any baby older than 3-4 months can/will easily Godzilla themselves and break out of this somewhat cramped 4 ft by 4 ft enclosure (if you lay down all the pieces flat, it is about 5 ft by 5 ft). A somewhat nice feature is that you can create cubes out of the pieces, and that can potentially be a fun toy for an older baby/toddler (though the shape pieces fall out much too easily). At the moment, not terribly useful for my 11-month old, but it provides some supplemental padding for his main play area.

This floor mat works well, keeps her toys in and the dogs out! Nice and thick for when she started crawling and pulling to stand, if she falls she doesn't even cry! Great purchase we actually bought 2!

It’s a little flimsy but still works ok easy to assemble and disassemble

Very easy to clean up. It can be taken apart quickly when on the go a reassembled in seconds. This is a very good choice especially for the price.

We have all hardwood flooring. This was perfect for our kid

This is a nice mat that provides some good padding but when the shapes are taken out of the mat, it creates a tripping hazard for your little one. The "fence" is also only really a fence for a baby that can not really crawl. Because even if the baby is only crawling it does not take much to knock down the "fence". Other then those things, the mat is nice and soft and creates a safe play space. The colors are nice and attention grabbing and of course you can teach your little one about shapes. There are some shape labels that are questionable but for the most part the shape names are correct. But I would probably look elsewhere because when the shapes are out of their tile this mat is definitely a tripping hazard. And the shapes do come out fairly easily.
