Use these correctly and they will work miracles.
First, Iโm going to say that after looking at some of the photos here of people using the plugs, some are using this product wrong. You put the end with the ridges inside your ear. You donโt need to put them in all of the way. You can put them in with just a few of the ridges inside your ear as long as it creates a seal. This will not work for you if you inserted it into your ear backwards. Second, I recommend that you purchase directly from WeatherXโs website as the ones on here stick out of your ears and can get in the way and be uncomfortable. The ones directly on their website have a type that are flat on the end so that you can wear them while youโre sleeping if needed and lay on your side. I would recommend ordering both the regular size and the small size to see which ones work better for your ears. At first, I thought the regular size were too big for my ears and used small size. The small size worked but was hurting my ear more. I realized it was because I was pushing it too far in in order to create a seal. I went back to using the regular ones and figured out that I didnโt need to push it in all the way in order to create a seal. Everyoneโs ears are different so you will need to see what works best for you. Third, you have to use these with the WeatherX app and experiment to find out what your pressure trigger is, when itโs best to put them in and when to take them out. For me any decrease in pressure .15 and up will trigger a migraine. Increase in pressure doesnโt seem to bother me. I put them in an hour to 30 minutes before and leave them in for at least 2 hours. If itโs a very strong pressure shift I find that I will still feel a bit unwell with symptoms but they are far more manageable and generally dissipate a couple hours after the shift. What I am finding these ear plugs do is keep me from getting a full on migraine. Itโs a fricken miracle. I have been using these for 6 weeks now and have only had to take sumatriptan twice. Once in the beginning when I wasnโt using it correctly and the other time when I missed the pressure shift and did not have them with me. I went from having two debilitating migraines a week to none. I do check the app every couple of hours to stay on top of upcoming shifts and will set an alarm or go to sleep with them if the shift is in the middle of the night so I donโt wake up with a migraine. If you miss the alert the app gives you, you can also put these in once you are feeling symptoms and they will still help. These ear plugs are a game changer for me. Yes it sucks to wear ear plugs and it can be harder to hear but itโs worth not having to take medication or suffer in misery for 1-3 days. Sumatriptan can only be taken 6-8 times a month and I was always in fear of being limited in having relief. I havenโt taken Sumatriptan in 4 weeks. Itโs an absolute miracle.

Good Price, arrived early seems to work
Arrived early. Packaged well. Used 1x no headache I usually get a migraine with a barometric pressure change. It does take a little bit to get used to them being your hearing expectedly is slightly muffled. Educational articles provided- this is preventative you put them in a half hour more if needed. I had to email Customer Service- replied immediately. Seems like a great company/product. I am hopeful, and I would much rather use these and put medicine in my body.

Get the regular size unless you're literally child-sized
These earplugs definitely seem to make a difference - I know that I have generally bad reactions to pressure shifts, not just migraines, and these do work to ease that. I would suggest trying them even if you don't know for sure if your migraines are affected by the weather. Happy that they work for both pressure dropping and pressure rising - I get the impression that most people are affected more by drops than rises but I'm the other way around. One suggestion though: no matter how small you think your earholes are, you probably still need the regular size, not the small. I bought the small because my earholes are quite small - I have trouble fitting most earbuds - and they were too small to make a good seal unless they were way too far down in the ear canal. I took silicone moldable earplugs and put a little strip of that material around the plugs to make them fit better, and that worked, but since I liked them I went ahead and bought the regular size as well and those are much better. Four stars not five because they do tend to make my earholes feel funny and a little itchy/irritated after a while, but that could be just me as that happens sometimes with other earplugs of this shape as well. They're wearable for long enough to get the benefit though.

Ear plugs with FREE weather app. Does it work??
I suffer from barometric headaches and sinus issues. When I saw these ear plugs touting their coping powers, I thought Iโd give them a try. Ear pods usually hurt my ears quickly because they are too big, so I wasnโt sure what size ear plugs to purchase. I got them in large (purple) and they are perfectly fine. They are soft and fit snuggly in my ear. I can tell that they open my ear canals, which does help to relieve pressure, but I only wear them for about 15 minutes at a time to keep my ears from getting sore. I like the plastic storage case to keep the ear plugs from getting lost and they can easily be carried in a pocket or purse. They definitely block out noise. The included weather app was the thing that convinced me to try the ear plugs. It is free and will tell you when the barometric pressure changes. I have had these ear plugs for a week and I have received DAILY notifications that there is a barometric shift suggesting I wear the ear plugs. Either I live in a very volatile weather area or the app isnโt very helpful. The app is the most disappointing thing. So far, I havenโt noticed any difference in my weather headaches so these are really just an expensive pair of ear plugs with a lackluster app. If you want to wear ear plugs everyday, then great, but if you want to actually treat your barometric headaches, I would suggest trying a cheap pair of ear plugs before buying these.

so far so good
Iโm still not entirely sure how much theyโre helping with the specific headache/pressure prevention aspect yet, but Iโve been using them regularly and they feel promising so far. Even outside of that, Iโve really appreciated them for reducing overstimulation in places like the grocery store, which has been a nice, unexpected benefit. Iโm going to keep using them and see how things go over time, but overall Iโm happy with them and giving them 5 stars for now. they don't cancel all noise, I can still hear out of them, but it definitely dulls the intensity

Headache Saver, Brilliant!!!!
I purchased this after my neurosurgeon recommended it to me to help with my migraines. Iโve just last week downloaded the app and used it as directed. I must say it did reduce my pressure change headache. I was able to prepare ahead of time. It is durable and comfortable and fits well. Iโm not one for ear plugs but these donโt feel uncomfortable. Just have to be sure you clean them after each use. They are made of a good material. And, while it isnโt meant to be noice cancelling just as any other ear plug it does reduce noise.

The app stopped working
I bought these earplugs because I barometric pressure changes trigger my migraine headaches. The earplugs themselves are a bit uncomfortable but not too bad (better than a migraine!) I set up the app on my smartphone and it immediately alerted me to an upcoming barometric pressure shift. I inserted the ear plugs and woke up the next morning with a mild headache but much less than I normally experience when I get a migraine. That was a month ago. It has never alerted me since then. This morning I woke up with a migraine and the forecast is for rain, so I checked the app. It gave me a error message and said it has no data for my location. So I changed the location to a few other cities on the East Coast and same thing - no data! So no wonder I haven't gotten any alerts! Very disappointing! Don't waste your money.

Didnโt help me at all, blocked almost all sound and were VERY painful to use
I suffer from chronic migraines, and have found barometric pressure changes to be a trigger, so when I heard about these, I thought i should give them a try. I was desperate, so I ignored my critical thinking skills when reading about the โstudyโ on theseโ a small sample size, not a double blind study, not peer reviewed, and was conducted by the manufacturer, who has financial interests in the outcome, instead of being independently studied. Also, the study instructed people to take their migraine meds as they usually would, so if you are looking for a preventive tool to use instead of medication, keep this in mind. Iโm not really sure how anyone would be able to use these long termโ they block out almost ALL noise, which seems potentially dangerous, and not suitable for most users to wear at work or while caring for children or while driving, etc. They were also VERY painful for me to use. I frequently wear foam earplugs at night to block out my husbandโs snoring, and I swim for an hour or longer 4-5x/week while wearing silicone earplugs/underwater headphones, so Iโm accustomed to wearing ear plugs. Having something in my ears is not an issueโ THESE earplugs were a problem for me because they were very painful, and felt like they were made for someone with giant ears (I donโt need extra small or childโs sized ear plugs, by the way). I couldnโt handle wearing them for more than 5 minutes at a time. I tried several different times, and they hurt just as much every time I tried. So I have no idea how one would wear these for hours at a time, let alone do this on a regular basis. Even if they donโt hurt your ears, the amount of sound they block is so much that I donโt see how these would be practical, unless they are only used for short periods of time, when youโre lying down in the dark anyway because of a migraine. The WeatherX app works fine, and is free, which might help migraine sufferers who are triggered by barometric pressure changes. If I could give these zero stars, I would, since I feel the manufacturer is misleading consumers re: claims of effectiveness.

Miracle!
Review! WeatherX earplugs for migraine/vertigo Just got these, and they fit my ears, which reg plugs never do. They always fall out. Never feel like earplugs fit great but the reg size in these fit awesome. Again under $20 for these. Haven't git a warning to put them on yet. It connects to a free app that alerts you of changing weather so you can put the plugs in so you can avoid getting migraine and vertigo attacks *update. Update! Woke up with a bad migraine and put them in, almost instant relief. Wore for an hour and no longer have a migraine

Quality but not for me
I am very sensitive to pressure so i was unable to wear them for any length of time. An average person would find them quite comfortable. They seem durable and are more comfortable than foam ones. They do block out some noise so I would assume it works for pressure as well. Love the app alot even tho I dont use the ear plugs. I do keep them in my purse in case im in a noisy environment. So even though I am not using them for the intended purpose, I do think it was worth my money overall.

Replace every 2 weeks????
I have not used them yet but the theory seems pretty solid. My main issue and why I gave 3 stars is because the company wants you to replace the ear plugs every 2 weeks and they say that the quality can not be guaranteed beyond 2 weeks. It seems wasteful to me. I would prefer paying more for a product that last longer.
