Goldwell Elumen High-performance Hair Color, Pkatall Pure, 6.8 oz

It took me nearly a year of reading internet reviews, scouring beauty-supply stores and trying out dozens of other products before I was lucky enough to stumble onto Elumen color. This is simply the best haircolor I've ever tried. I get compliments on my hair every day from strangers on the street. I have short, naturally gray hair and the Elumen saturates it very well. A comprable product and color would be Manic Panic Amplified Hot Hot Pink ---- but that is merely a hair stain and washes out after a couple of weeks. This is a PERMANENT haircolor. Also, it is quite gentle. I've been dyeing my hair with it for about six months now and it is still very soft after every coloring. I color my own hair and use the whole recommended Elumen regimen. I start with the Prepare, then color my hair, then finish with the Lock product. I also use their skin cleaner because this dye is very strong and I always end up with some pink on my hairline, neck and hands. Their skin cleaner takes care of that quite well. The longest I've gone between coloring was six weeks and the pink color was still quite saturated on the ends. (Also, this may be important to some people ---- it certainly was to me ---- I find that I have a lot less staining on my towels, clothing and sheets with this product than with hair stains like Manic Panic.) I don't feel that I can give a very good prediction of the final result color, since I start with a gray base and that is probably not the norm for pink hair color!! But I find that this is not a cheap-looking "candy-colored" pink, if that makes sense. For me it produces a very lush, saturated dark fuchsia color (dark pink with just a hint of purple). I also have very fair skin and get a lot of compliments on how this color looks in contrast to my complexion. If you do not have gray hair like me or light-colored hair you might have to lighten your hair first to get a really, really saturated dark pink but I think that's probably best left to professional stylists. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this product. It has been life-changing for me. Elumen products are quite expensive but for the results they are worth every penny. This hair color is solid. I have medium brown to dark brown hair. There was no need to bleach to achieve a beautiful wine red color (was applied on virgin hair). I dyed my hair Feb of 2018 and while my roots of course are brown, the ends of my hair are STILL red. Almost a year in and the red is still beautiful. The color has faded, but it hasn't faded into an ugly orange, it's still such a pretty color. I wash my hair 3 times a week. At first I took cold showers and used shampoo (no tint) for color treated hair. When my roots grew out and I was ready to wash the red out I used hot water and sulfate shampoos. The red is STILL there after 6+ months showering in hot water with the wrong shampoos. And it's still a beautiful color. I plan to stay red so I'm perfectly ok with how long this lasts. One thing I will warn about. This dye bleeds like crazy when your hair is wet. Once my hair dried tho, minimal bleeding. Small down side to how great this dye works.

This is simply the best product I have tried in my quest for neon brilliant screaming pink hair. I have not found it messy, had no trouble with the cleanup. and if you use the sealer afterwards, it really does not get on sheets, on hats, it does not fade, it is miraculous. after two decades of chasing brilliant neon pink flamingo hair, this is IT!And it leaves the hair in wonderful condition, even after having had the colour ripped out of it first by severe bleaching, which one must do in order to have brilliant neon fluorescent flamingo pink hair! This review should have ten stars and an OSCAR.

MUST USE HEAT! If you're a lay person like me and wanted to try the same color your stylist used, at a fraction of the cost, remember: you MUST USE HEAT to set this color! Elumen is a fabulous new permanent hair color, and even this one, hot pink, is permanent. I have roots! The color is deeper than pink though, with purpley undertones. You'll need the color chart from Goldwell, which is highly guarded because you're supposed to be a colorist to see behind that particular curtain. Once you do see it though, you can figure out the code and know which colors you like. Best of luck!

I mixed this with Elumen's Clear to help dilute the color! It is an amazing hot pink though! I did find this formula from Goldwell if you're looking for pastel pink: 60ml NB@10 60ml GB@9 2ml PK@all Apply color from root to ends. Oberve processing time then rinse and shampoo. Towel dry hair then apply Elumen Lock. Process for 5 minutes then rinse and condition.

This runs quite a bit (even when used with lock & seal products) for at least a week, but the red was very nice. It's now faded to a fairly bright pink, but other red dyes that I've used fade to a rusty color, so this is preferable.

Cannot rate this any higher. I have used this both at home and with my professional stylist (for placement of the streaks) and either way it packs a punch. The last time she did it was Sep (it’s now June), and it is still very noticible and in some places just as vibrant as it was on day one. Just be prepared that to get this stuff out you’ll have to either bleach multiple times or let it grow and cut.

This is the best dye I have ever used. It goes on REAL bright, but after a washing fades (on bleached and toned hair) to a beautiful rose pink. We mixed it with a little bit of conditioner and some of the purple (VV@ something) and I have super cool rose pink hair with streaks of more purple on it. We even put some on a brown-headed friend and it took!

If you’re committed to your hair color, this is the product to use! Easy to apply, great consistency and (surprisingly!) rather easy to clean from surfaces. Also, a little goes a long way - I’m only using one bottle to dye my thick hair. The color stays vibrant for months and months, especially when using Elumen Lock and Elumen Shampoo; but they’re not a necessity. It does bleed a little when your hair is wet, so I would recommend using a spare towel and pillowcases for 1-2 weeks after dyeing. The hair is not being damaged during the process. The results speak for themselves! I’ve had lots and lots of different hair colors, but this one gets the most compliments!

I love Elumen PK get soooo many compliments. It DOES DYE your scalp and HANDS so gloves and Vaseline, wipes etc close by. It lasts and now is the only Dye I use. Bottle last two and a bit times and have below shoulders length hair. Hardly fades at all so I get away with doing roots one time.

Brilliant hair dye. Goes a very bright pink and lasts months at a time! Seems to be out of stock at the moment so im gonna have to wait to buy more!!
