So glad I got this, a must have with a Kotatsu table. The price was decent, no bad smell, took me a moment to find the cord in the box but I did. I turn it off at night which is a button on the front.

They didn't ship it right away. It took way longer than the other brand I bought at the same time. This product looks good enough to put it out in the living room. (Wife won't kill you LOL) This one is 500W unit and very quiet and does not put out much heat. (Door phone using only 15W at most)

If you're going to buy a Japanese high wattage high end Amplifier or other high end audio component that runs on 100volt, you definitely need this high quality high power converter period.

Recently, I recieved a large Hinamatsuri celebration shrine from a friend in Okinawa. It is a very old family heirloom, and hadn't worked in a while. Aside from needing a new key, as it also was a music box, it needed two japanese shrine lights and of course, a converter box to run in America. This box converts wonderfully and allows me to leave the shrine on to illuminate March 3rd (hinamatsuri day) or any other chosen time! Sugoi!

I bought this a few weeks ago to power a Japanese HD VCR which only accepts 100V. I checked the output with a multimeter and it shows 99.7V, and the VCR is working happily so far. I can't see what's inside but it's quite heavy, the exterior design is nice, and I don't have any problem with the cable staying in the power outlets as the outlet is very tight and takes a bit of force to get the cable into. If it continues working I'll be very happy with it.

Extremely easy to use right out of the box, has two outlets. Although it is on the heavy side, it’s not really meant to be moved around once placed near an outlet.

She is rather large and heavy, but works fine. Very well built and sturdy. No complaints!

I use it for a rice cooker with 110. It works great, if you have a rice cooker needing adopter, this one is for you. The price was a bit expensive but works fine!

Everything in the manual was for a step-up adapter for 220v appliances instead of a step-down adapter like I got. Otherwise works great. Used a voltmetre and found it gives 112-114v which is well within tolerance.
