I love it!
I just received my Blackberry Q10. I looked at so many different phones & reviews, it was exhausting. I was afraid to buy an (outdated) Blackberry but I wanted a keyboard & an unlocked AT&T phone that I could slip in my micro SIM card & go. LOVE! $184 and free shipping, so, cheaper than the cheapest non-keyboard phone at the AT&T store (there are no keyboard phones available at my AT&T store). And cheaper than almost any decent phone. It is a 2013 model but—it came quickly (2 days)—it is brand new in original factory sealed Blackberry box with all accessories (phone, charger, earbuds, manuals). I have had 2 iPhones and most recently a Samsung Galaxy Note3 hand-me-down from my mother that I used when my last iPhone went kaput. My Samsung wouldn’t power on at all this past week so I had to buy a new phone but I didn’t have the hundreds or thousand dollars to buy the ones on the market. So, went to Amazon and since I’ve always wanted a physical keyboard (I despise touch screen keyboards), I started looking at different brands but the Blackberries seemed to be the best bet. So glad I chose Blackberry. Set up was a dream. I am still setting up a few things like email, but everything so far looks fantastic. Here is my review for people considering this phone: I wanted a phone mainly for calling, texting, emailing, a little internet browsing, checking a few websites, driving maps, decent camera & video. That’s it. I don’t need or want a whole bunch of apps or games and I don’t plan to use this to watch movies or long videos or long periods of internet browsing/shopping/reading/writing. I have an ipad at home for those things. It is more than fine for doing some of those things if I really need to (time on my hands stuck someplace away from home etc) but like I said, not for lying in bed for hours watching a movie/video. I don’t want to be on my gadgets 24/7! I read real books in bed and put my phone across the room at night. If you are looking for a phone with a large screen to watch lots of videos and movies on, this is NOT the phone for you!!! It has a small screen. Videos play fine on it, and the browser & youtube are fast and convenient, it is just a small screen so not for endless hours like cuddling up & watching a movie, do you get me? Yet, you still CAN, and it will be FINE. Youtube works great on it, I love watching YouTube & Amazon prime so I can see myself watching occasional videos on those 2 venues, both of which are on this phone as well as FB and Twitter. But I will reach for my ipad to watch most movies & videos. It has a flashlight on it and lighted keys and a lot of features that I didn’t expect. Folks, this Blackberry is well made and I can certainly tell the difference between it and all the other phones I’ve owned. Take that as you will. WiFi and internet works great. The keyboard is incredibly intuitive and tactile and it makes texting and typing fun instead of the annoying constant mistakes and unsatisfactory feel of the virtual keyboards of most phones. There is a touch screen as well and it works beautifully too. And, no annoying constant pop up ads that my Samsung would fling up every 2 seconds! No way to get rid of them! And billions of apps I didn’t need or want and no way to get rid of them either! So, the Blackberry, with no ads, and just the most important apps, is very much appreciated. I am very happy so far. I didn’t rate the battery or tech support as I’ve only just gotten it, but it is charging well and all indications are great. This is a great compromise for those who don’t want a basic no frills no-WiFi no-internet-browsing flip phone yet also don’t want the full on iPhone/android large touch screen with tons of useless apps, ads, & meant for lots of watching movies/videos and doing your whole life on it. So happy with this purchase. Exceeded my hopes, I highly recommend! EDITED: The battery lasts two full days before I have to charge it again. Better than any phone I’ve had. Also, I found that this phone does not allow live streaming so that is a minus. However, I can watch the video afterward. If one of my top priorities were watching videos/live streaming then this would have affected my decision to buy. So if you watch a lot of live streaming, then this is not for you. But, since I have been watching some videos since I got it with no problems whatsoever (even with small screen, am very pleased), and everything else is exceptional, I am more than ok with it. Great buy, maybe the best I’ve ever made on Amazon!

Another great blackberry product
I'm a blackberry nut for some reason. I just like having a physical keyboard for one. I also think it their products are well made and innovatively different. I've had pearl flip phone and a 9315 curve before this. I had the curve for about 4 years and loved it. At the end it didn't seem to hold a charge anymore. I'd gladly have bought another one but they don't make them anymore. The BB os 7 on it worked perfectly for me. A small but very efficient phone for call emails texts and many other uses. The trackpad, keyboard and blackberry button for menus worked perfect. So did the removable battery. I didn't care about its mediocre internet browsing or game playing or camera taking capabilities. When I went to the t-Mobile store they didn't sell BB anymore so I just took a chance and ordered this q10. It's a discontinued unlocked phone. I had seen it several years ago when it sold for $600. I believe I paid about $115 brand new in a box with an at and t and logo. I just put a sim card in and it worked fine. I updated it to the current10.3 system. Their is a learning curve with this phone. It's more sophisticated the curve and trickier to use without the trackball and blackberry button. After about 2 months of use I'm more comfortable with it, but sometimes use the wrong gesture. The hub is nice once you know what it does and how to navigate with it. The browser is way better than the curve. Most things are better than the curve, just not as easy to navigate. It's also bigger than the curve but way smaller than the passport and a bit smaller than the classic. For what was available for a reasonable price this was the right choice for me and I'm glad I bought it. The accesories are dirt cheap also. I hope it lasts a long time. I think the current BBs are more like android phones and the build quality isn't as great. When I first got the phone my battery charger seemed to last about a day and a half. Recently it seems to have declined to almost a day. I'm not sure why. I just ordered 2 new batteries to see if that helps. I'd be bummed if the phone was already acting up. I've also had a BBplaybook for 5 years and it's still going strong with heavy usage. I expect the same with this wonderful blackberry product. In many was its the perfect phone in the perfect size. Canada has at least 2 great things: Ice hockey and blackberries.

Nearly perfect phone and OS.
I need my phone to work as a communication device, not a mobile game platform. In this regard, the Q10 excels. The BB10 operating system provides you with a 'Hub' that has all your messages in one easy to navigate spot, and is easily accessed with a quick swipe of the finger from pretty much anywhere. 4 stars because there is a severe lack of configuration options. This is mostly fine, because the defaults that have been chosen aren't too bad. However, it doesn't seem possible to include your own tones / music for the provided / native alarm clock application. The configuration options for notification sounds and such is also fairly limited. I'm also bummed about the lack of a native XMPP / Jabber client, the Google Talk app is great, for Google Talk / Hangouts, but only allows 1 account logged in at a time, and doesn't, of course, allow for any other XMPP services. I was also hoping the maturity level of Blackberry World would be superior to that of Google Play, but after seeing so many 'sex master' apps, the answer is a disappointing 'No'. This bugs me, because improving the quality of software available in Blackberry World would make Blackberry the brand to beat. I'm tired of searching for a calculator or other simple utility, only to find 20+ of varying levels of quality, all with 3-5 stars. It would be amazing If I could count on the apps I find to be of a certain level of quality. In spite of the flaws, I was tired of Android and the build quality of this phone is phenomenal. It feels luxurious, like a well crafted product that was meant to last for longer than a 2 year contract. The keyboard is also a dream to type on. I'm not as quick as I was with Swype, but I somehow enjoy the experience more.

Excellent customer service!
I got the Blackberry Q10 because I prefer a physical keyboard and need a WORKHORSE, not a toy. Email, text, scheduler, minimal browsing if I need to look something up RIGHT NOW, instead of waiting a few hours, when I don't have access to a computer. Even a screen the size of an ipad is too small to do any real work. I am not so insecure as to need constant ego stroking from acquaintances that I need to look at facebook or twitter hourly on a phone. Interacting with people is done in person. A phone is nothing but a tool. If I want to read a book, I get a paperback. If I want to watch a movie, I do it in the living room. If I want to use AutoCAD, Khan Academy, play computer games or use the internet for something, I use a desktop computer. If I want news, I listen to NPR or the BBC. I bought the Seidio BD4-HKR4BBQ10 Convert Case and Holster Combo for BlackBerry Q10 - Retail Packaging - Black to protect my phone. It is an excellent product. I cannot compare it to any other cases FOR THIS PHONE. I have used other Seidio cases before and have zero complaints after over four years of abuse working on an ambulance. This case has a lip about 5/16" to protect the screen, and adds significantly to the bulk of the phone, but I find it much easier to hold, and I am quite reassured that my screen is safe from damage when I drop my phone. No Zebra stripes, no cute little animals, no flashy colors. Just plain black. Once again, WORKHORSE, not show-pony. I also bought the SanDisk Ultra 64 GB microSDXC Class 10 UHS-1 Memory Card 30MB/s with Adapter SDSDQU-064G-AFFP-A here on Amazon, and installed it. I formatted the micro SD card IN THE PHONE, just as if it were any other new SD card and it works fine. I do not like that I cannot uninstall some apps on the phone like the silly Games app or the Story Maker, which forces me to put them way far away in a screen I never go to. That is an issue with the OS though. I'd also like to get a replacement lower faceplate to get rid of the AT&T Death Star logo, but other than that, I'm happy.

I dont like using a touch screen
At first when I first got the phone, I thought it was 9/10. I dont like using a touch screen. At all. Unfortunately, the touchscreen is the only way to interact with this phone. It rarely knows what you're clicking on, especially if it's near the bottom quarter of the screen. It frequently minimizes apps when you're trying to click something on the bottom of the screen. The touchscreen on this phone is, by a considerable margin, the worst one Ive ever used. I bought a blackberry to get away from the touchscreen issue. Then there's the issue of apps. There hardly are any. Yes, you can get facebook and twitter (but no tumblr) and a variety of games but not much of anything useful. This is a serious issue, I bought a blackberry for business purposes and it's less useful than the ancient samsung android phone I was using before. The build quality is nice. That's the only positive thing I have to say about it. It's nice and solid. But it's smooth surface is somewhat difficult to securely grip. The battery life is terrible. It lasts about a day in heavy use. The phone is also slow. The OS is seriously immature. I'm deeply disappointed in blackberry for getting it so wrong.

Positives & Negatives.
There are both positives and negatives regarding this phone. I got it because I wanted physical keys, it's my first smart phone, previously used a flip phone for a long time. When the phone works, it's fine. It does have a smaller screen than the typical Android, and when it stops working I'll get something with a bigger screen for Internet use. It was advertised as new, when I called BlackBerry regarding tech support found it wasn't. The worst, biggest glitch with the phone is eventually the screen kept locking up. I would touch it and swipe and the screen wouldn't do a thing. This became a big problem when wanting to make phone calls or do anything else with it. The solution turned out to be to delete a lot of unnecessary apps from the phone, like twitter, facebook, any app I didn't really need , I deleted, it has improved about 90% since them. Occasionally locks up, but not like it did before. You can still get on twitter using the browser, so it's not like you can't be on there. But the app plus others seems to have affected the phone's performance. Also, the phone likes to turn itself back on when I turn it off. I don't like that either. But it was a relatively inexpensive phone, and now that the screen locking up problem is mostly solved, I think it's okay. But it would be better to make sure you're getting a brand new phone you can use a warranty for, and get BlackBerry tech support. I like with a 64 GB memory card I can walk around with almost my entire music collection in my pocket, plus music videos. The BlackBerry OS isn't perfect, and makes some things my flip phone did very easily more difficult.

Happy Blackberry Q10 camper!
I previously had a BB Curve 9630. While I loved the phone and wasn't quite ready to give it up, it was on its last leg, and desperately needed to be replaced. I've used BB for many years and would say I'm definetly a BB person. The reason why I held on to my Curve for so long is because I couldn't decide what phone I wanted, and I figured that eventually BB would become obsolete and I'd have to replace it anyways. I also wasn't completely ready to only use touch screen. This phone is totally the best of both worlds, offering both touch screen and keyboard. The BB Q10 is a little bigger than my curve, but I've already gotten used to it and I have a cute case to hold it, so its all good. The Q10 is very different from the Curve in terms of ease and where things are located. I find it a little difficult to navigate through the Q10 than I did with my Curve, but I'm confident after exploring further I'll be and expert as I was with my Curve . Overall this is a great phone, with alot of cool and new features than I'm used to with the Curve and it's a lot faster. The graphics are vibrant and beautiful and I love that the screen is bigger. The only thing I was hoping for with the Q10 is that I'd be able to download some of the major apps i.e Amazon, Bank of America, Panera Bread etc. But overall I'm a happy BB customer. I got the phone from the Amazon warehouse, and had absolutely no problems with ordering, delivery of the product or customer service when I inquired about the Q10 features before purchase. Thanks for reading!

Excellent product!!!
It's been a month now I got this phone and I found it necessary to share my experience. I contacted the seller to be sure I got the SQN 3 version because I was going to use the phone outside the US. 2G, 3G and 4G frequencies all works perfectly on the GSM carriers in Ghana. "LOVE IT" is my simple expression for this product. I used the Bold 9900 for 2 years and needed to upgrade. I toggle between the iphone 4s and Sony xperia T. As much as I admit those two phones are great in handling tasks and great apps and camara functions I couldn't fall hard for them like the BlackBerry Q10. Being a previous BlackBerry user I couldn't leave without my notifications and the lovely keypad. There is a kind of satisfaction in the way BlackBerry notifies you when you miss an even and when those messages pops up. The Q10 feels really great in your hand and with this new keypad it looks so attractive you don't want to leave it behind. In terms of operations, the Q10 has been an excellent upgrade from 9900. The new gestures are wow and the amazing way of multi-tasking. In my opinion this is the only device that handles mult-tasks excellently and lovely. The browser is the best!!! And the new HUB is the killer part for me. Yes the app world lags so much but I have all my basics and that's enough for me I believe it's new and growing really fast even. You can port from Android if that becomes necessary. With the new 10.2.1 os update you don't want to miss the experience. Loving it!!!

Also Augen zu uns bestellt. Daher sollte man hier keine Abzüge machen dürfen. Also da sollte es dann keine Probleme geben. Großes Kino was BB das leistet! Also vom 24.

Time to throw your Iphone in the bin, trade it or give it to charity
If you want a smart phone that prioritises communication over using apps, playing games and watching movies then this is the one for you. But it also does the other stuff and there are now enough apps to satisfy you too. The Q10 is a blazingly fast, efficient micro computer in your pocket with the full QWERTY keyboard that is its crowning glory. This year, I explored my wife's Iphone 5 for hours trying to understand what is so great about it, but I failed because it felt more about form than function and also it tied you into the Apple ecosystem way too much. Then, for a time, I really enjoyed my excellent Sony Xperia Acro S (an imported early stable-mate of the Xperia Z that runs Android jelly Bean) but despite being typically Sony excellent for multimedia and Android friendly open to developers, I felt frustrated by it's power hungry and un-intuitive interface. Coming back to Blackberry's Q10 after these and my previous Bold 9900 and 8900, I have been blown away for lots of reasons. BlackBerry has come a long way and is back: 1. It does what any modern smart phone should do in terms of web browsing, multimedia and utilities and it does them well enough on its relatively small (but only 0.4 of an inch smaller that the Iphone 3 to 4s, which everyone thought was huge on release) but much more vibrant 3.1 inch screen. However, it absolutely excels at being a brilliant phone, email client (as you'd expect from BB), organiser and social networking device. 2. You can probably forget serious gaming as this is more of a business tool but there are lots of excellent games for 'commuter gamers' with fewer demands. 3. You simply can't replace this prestigious physical keyboard with a touch screen keyboard and the user interface is very intuitive and precise without being too fancy or complicated. The union of this keyboard and clever gesture based touch screen UI is completely different from anything else and it just works very well and will no doubt be improved from this early iteration of it. OS 10.2 is already significantly better. 4. Battery life is also excellent and will easily see out your busy day of calls, browsing, emailing and texting. But you'll still have battery to spare for evening browsing or tapping out a piece of office work from home or on the train. 5. Size is pocket friendly and is great to hold and use with one hand. 6. Radio and wifi reception are outstanding as is sound quality of the mic and the booming built-in speaker which blew me away; it sounds very rich for its size, even in bass. Who needs a hands free kit? 7. Build quality is superb but be aware that the glass is not as tough as your flagship Sony and Samsung phones that use durable Gorilla or Dragontrail glass, but there are lots of cases out there and I use an Otterbox which has saved my screen from accidental drops many times. The rest of the device does feel quality and bullet proof however and is beautifully designed and crafted in painted metal, hard plastic and a durable and grippy glass weave material on the back. 8. App World is very under rated for some reason but most of the popular apps are there in some form or other: Skype, Facebook, Twitter, Office apps and Sat Nav apps all work well. The Neutron music player app turns your BlackBerry into an excellent music system, especially if you use the loudspeaker, if you Bluetooth or Wifi connect it to a set of speakers or connect it by DNLA to a surround sound system. There are a multitude of other apps that cater for the masses, although I'm sure not of Iphone magnitude given Apple's head start. 9. You can also play music, video and photos in glorious high definition to your TV using the mini HDMI port; something even the newest Iphones can't do. Results are excellent. 10. The camera is great, but definitely not the best; an obvious compromise, but it still surpasses most modern lower-end digital cameras and most mid-ranged smartphones. Both front and rear cameras produce pretty good HD video too. The quality of photos or video definitely won't be the reason to put you off this phone. You can BBM live video very well but I'm not sure about Skype video or other apps. 11. The ONLY other compromise for ME is the smaller, but by no means small screen which is bettered by today's big 'phablet' smart phones that will also happily suck your battery dry in half a day. Honestly, the apps are now very good, so don't let that put you off. If it does, then remember, with some tweaking (not to be confused with twerking), you can also use many Android apps to enhance your experience. Buy! Charlie
