Outrageously Good Product
The porduct is terrific. I have a low score for value becasue like so many others 1 of the containers was brokek and the seller couln't care less. Notice how many others have had a comparable experience without the seller addressing the issue. The product itself is great and thus I would repurchase.

I am addicted to this! If you have had the red chicken on a stick at an Asian buffet, this is called char siu, and this is the marinade that makes it happen! One jar goes a long way. I have even used half a jar and frozen the other half for use later. Highly highly recommend!

Perfect Flavor, Not too Salty
First, people who say it's too salty do not know Chinese cooking. Consider soy sauce which is basically liquid salt. Spoon this wonderful sauce on room temp meat and let stand for 30 minutes. Then roast in oven until done. I like to add more when done is about 5 minutes away. It's sticky and meant to be so. I like to prepare pork pieces in advance and have them ready to add to fried rice or other dishes...yummy cold too.... This sauce is by far the best I have found.

If you have looked up Char Sui recipes you will know how many different ingredients you need, being able to buy the sauce like this makes it much easier. I add some soy sauce and Chinese cooking wine to water it down a little to marinade the pork overnight, then cook it slowly, and add a bit more of this sauce near the end. I'm glad amazon has this because I can't usually find it in the supermarket.
