KIT106A2-BRK Siren 1 Titanium Whistle Blue Knife

Bought this as a gift for someone but I took a look at it before giving it away. It's definitely great quality and the color is really nice. The whistle itself is nice and loud. Love how compact it is and the bottle opener is a bonus.

This could have been a 10 out of 10 product if form followed function. but in this case, adding a stupid and unnecessary bottle opener defeated its purpose. Here are the two major reasons I returned this product. 1. An emergency whistle should work - This one is marginal at best. The pitch is too high and the quality of tone and volume is terrible. Whoever designed this does not understand how to make whistles. 2. The function is compromised by the bottle opener. The extra space available could have been used to produce a slightly lower and better pitch. 3. The appearance is dramatically compromised by the bottle opener. This thing is basically very cool looking but the huge unnecessary notch comprising the bottle opener ruins the appearance, Look, I have managed large teams of industrial designers making countless consumer products. The genius who added the extra feature needs to go back to school, or perhaps go back to a better school. I'm surprised they didn't try to add a digital clock.
