Must have for heavy chewers who like the swallow the treat when they shouldn’t!
The media could not be loaded. This thing worked AMAZINGLY. It’s hard as heck to get the bully stick in, I bashed it on the counter top a couple times lol But my dog who normally would have finished one bully stick in an hour and then swallowed the end piece has been working on the same stick for two days now. Will never not use one again

Works great for my dog
I’m pretty happy with this Bully Stick holder, works great for my dog. He’s a 25 pound mixed breed who is a pretty aggressive chewer. He did manage to pull one stick out of the holder, but it was thinner than the others bully sticks I’ve used. The key is to get bully sticks that fit the size range specified by the manufacturer for the size holder you buy. With the right size bully stick, he chews down to the rubber disk and cannot get the stub out, which is exactly how it’s supposed to work. The manufacturer has good videos and instructions, I followed those with a couple improvements. To remove the remaining stub of the bully stick, I mounted the recommended bolt on a 4” x 4” piece of wood. That works great. To prepare the disk when inserting a new stick, I half fill a glass container with water and put in the disk, then in the microwave for 1 minute. Saves water and time. The rubber disk itself is heavy duty and looks like it will last. My dog is not bothered by the weight of the disk, he had no hesitation chewing his bullies when I put the sticks in the disk. I’m glad I have this to make bully sticks safer for my dog. Definitely recommend this item.

Hard to use
It was very difficult to insert the bully stick. I watched the video that made it look so easy. I had to resort to using pliers to screw the stick into the holder. Once I got it in, it seemed to be strong enough to keep our dog that has a super strong grip safe from choking. She has pulled screws out of metal strips.

Necessity is the mother of invention.
Fabulous product with a great story and purpose behind it!I ordered this for my English Bull Terrier, Indie, because she is a famous horker of food. After getting a slab fracture from an antler and choking and almost dying from a turkey neck, I was ecstatic to find the Bully Grip on the market. The choking incident scared me so bad that they rarely have bully sticks, etc. I somehow formed logical thoughts while she was choking, grabbed her back legs, and lightly swung her 35 lb body upside down. Gravity became my best friend that day.And yes, Indie did try to snatch the turkey neck back.We tried the Bully Grip last night for the first time. 6" standard-sized bully sticks. I knew immediately that Indie would probably get it out and I needed a thicker bully stick. Sure enough, she got down to the end and was able to snag the last piece. I will say I believe she would have swallowed a MUCH bigger piece if it hadn't been for the Bully Grip. But we aren't done yet. Even as anxious as I have been about giving Indie bully sticks, I feel this product can work for us. We'll try thicker and/or longer sticks to see what works for her.I will be ordering another for my border collie. She is a dainty eater and a careful chewer. So why order her one? Murphy's Law aside, viewing both of my girls chewing their bully sticks, it was obvious how much more comfortable it was to have a handy paw grip at the end. Indie was comfortably chewing with her head down while Bo (border collie) had only eaten a couple of inches and already had her head up dancing the bully stick around in her mouth trying to chew a piece off since she could no longer hold it with her front legs.Know your dog. Supervise them, and if the first attempt doesn't work, try a different thickness, length, or even brand.Love it!

It’s okay.
I thought a lot about how to best review this item, as I take my dogs’ safety pretty seriously... and while I like this product enough to keep it, I’m not sure I can necessarily recommend it..On the plus side, this product is durable, and most likely your dog will not chew through it. However, it may or may not be secure enough to hold on to a bully stick. If your dogs are smart (or just extremely motivated) they will likely figure out how to pull the bully stick out. That being said, this bully stick holder will at least buy you some time. All things considered, this product is okay. I still would never leave my dogs unattended with it, since about 90% of the time they’ve been able to pull the bully stick out of it.And to the people complaining that it’s hard to get the bully stick into the holder: that’s the point guys! In fact the harder it is for you to get in, the harder it will be for your dogs to get it out!P.S. I use the Costco bully sticks and my dogs are 40 and 45 pound super chewers, in case anyone needs some comparison!

Peace of mind!
This bully stick holder is better than any other I’ve tried. My lab likes to swallow them once he’s about half way through and it gives me anxiety. Using this bulky stick holder gives me the peace of mind that he’s not going to choke or cause a blockage. Great product! Thank you!

Beau LOVES this product and IT WORKS!!!
I got this product for our pedigree Havanese dog, Beau, who is only 14 lbs. He loves bully sticks, but we had to take them away when only half-chewed due to the choking risk. Bully sticks are expensive! Now with the bully stick holder, not only is the problem solved but Beau has extra fun chasing the round holder along with a stick in it, or part of a stick. Plus the holder wriggles when it rolls, so much fun to chase! For fat bully sticks, one will stay in place. For thin bully sticks, I use an end piece as well as the new bully stick, i.e. 2 thin bully sticks are needed to be sure they stay in place and Beau cannot pull them out. Also, he can hold the bully stick holder with his paws and chew on the bully stick - so cute! I cannot comment for larger dogs, but this product is GREAT for smaller dogs. We are with Beau all the time, but for those who have to leave their dog alone at home in the day, this is a great item for helping play and fun, as long as it is used supervised at first to make sure your pet can play with it safely. PS. Please keep your pet healthy and only buy bully sticks without harsh chemicals!
