I actually moved the Alpine Type R 5 1/4 inch component speakers to the rear fill of my truck because these blow them AWAY! The sound from these speakers is so smooth it's incredible. For the price that these are sold for it's simply the best buy. The tweeters are a little bright but with a slight EQ change that was taken fixed. DO NOT be discouraged to give these a shot. I'm running them with an Alpine IVA-D106 head unit, Alpine Imprint sound processor, AudioControl crossover, and a 2X60 watt MB Quart amp. I'm still in shock at how much better they sound than the $200 set of components that they replaced.
