PRIMA Stomach Ulcer Helicobacter Pylori Home Test Kit

Ordered this after suspicions for a while that I had this. Had previously ordered a stool test by accident....gave up on it. The only bit that was challenging was collecting enough blood in the pipette. My husband had to help with this. A received a faint positive and rang my Dr the next day and am receiving treatment. Feeling a lot better so the test must have been right. Quick delivery (next day), cheap and great for giving you an indicator especially at the moment when it's difficult to get in at the Drs for a test.

It made me feel better doing the test.

I bought this as I’d been having severe stomach pains and general symptoms of a stomach ulcer, and thought maybe I might have an H Pylori infection. I did the test perfect, having had lots of practise using Covid tests, and the results said I did NOT have H Pylori. I went to the doctor because of the pain, thinking it was a simple ulcer, and they tested for h pylori just in case. The doctors told me that I actually had quite a bad h pylori infection. This test is, in my opinion, quite dangerous, as you may ignore symptoms and shrug it off as a simple stomach ulcer due to this test, and suffer severe complications further down the road.

This is a quick and easy test to do with accurate results. Once the test showed a positive I called my doctor who arranged a test to be done which confirmed the result of the Prima test. Now on a course of treatment.

It was quite difficult to get the blood into the pipette, so not sure if it worked properly, as only one testing strip.

Really good that the world has advanced so much we can test this so easily at home. Easy to use and the kit comes with an extra needle just in case you shoot wrong the first time. Would recommend!

After reading the reviews, was not sure how well this would work. Daughter has been having ongoing investigations for gastro issue, H Pylori wasn't tested for even though we asked for it. Really difficult to get blood into pipette so we dropped it directly on to the test strip. Instant positive result. Finally moving forward. Wish I had seen this six months ago.

So it's a blood test where you have to press your finger against a plastic box with a hole in where the needle comes out. This was really hard for me to do eprsonally because brains are just not wired to press against a needle you can't see. automated would be better. The first one didn't draw enough blood so had to do a second. Getting the blood into the tube was fiddly and some had dried and blocked it a bit from the first go but managed to get a sample. Tested negative the same day I did a GP test. The GP eat came back positive and severe, and I was told to go to hospital and pit on 2 strong types of antibiotics immediately. The test control line indicates that the test had worked. It just gives false information, so even though your GP is hard to deal with which is likely why you're buying it here instead of doing to with them, just pick up the phone and speak to them and get it tested properly. Bought because of the good reviews, but having experienced it I'm confused as to why.
