This thing is awesome after using a one button control for years
I have had a one button opener wired on the wall of my garage for years. Recently, I lost one of my remote openers, so had to consult the garage door manual on how to reset the security codes for the remotes. While looking through the manual, I found that with the wiring I already had - the single wall button that opens and closes the garage door - that I could put this in its place and now not only open and close the door, but also have the option of locking out all remote openers and the option to turn on and off the garage opener light. This thing is awesome, I love it. Worked immediately upon turning the power to the garage back on. Relatively easy to install. FIRST, SHUT OFF THE POWER AT THE BREAKER TO THE GARAGE. All I needed was a philips head screw driver to remove the two screws from the one button control that was on my wall. Then, I used that same screw driver to loosen the two wires from the one button control. Then, take those two wires and attach them to this new unit. The unit is labeled so it's easy to figure out which wire goes where. (There are no directions that come with this thing by the way) When I had the wires in place and tightened under the screws of this new unit, I put the bottom screw back where it was in the wall for the one button control, seated the unit on that bottom screw (need to leave this screw sticking out just a bit from the wall), and then put the top screw back in. Don't over tighten. (this created a brand new hole, by the way). That's it.

Genuine logic board appears to be better made than the generic counterpart
I asked an AI chatbot to compare the quality of soldering between a genuine logic board and a well-reviewed generic counterpart also being sold on Amazon for half the price. I'm sharing this analysis as it seems to convincingly demonstrate that the genuine part is better made. I was hesitating whether to keep the genuine part but the analysis below convinced me. ——— Comparing the two logic boards, the one on the left appears to be better made. Here's why: • Solder Joints: The left board has noticeably cleaner and more consistent solder joints. They are well-formed and indicate a more controlled soldering process. The right board has some solder joints that are larger and less consistent. • Component Placement: Components on the left board are more uniformly aligned. The large components, such as the screw terminals, appear to be seated more securely. • Trace Routing: While both boards have a relatively simple layout, the traces on the left board are slightly more organized and direct. • Board Material: Although it's hard to definitively say without a higher-resolution image, the left board may be made of slightly higher quality material. The edges and color suggest a potentially better grade of PCB substrate. Overall Impression: The left logic board exhibits characteristics associated with higher quality manufacturing processes, suggesting better attention to detail during assembly. While the right board is likely functional, the left board's superior soldering and component placement suggest greater reliability and potentially a longer lifespan.

El control anterior parecía que funcionaba, a veces si, a veces no. Con este ya funciona siempre y el tiempo de respuesta es menor.

I ordered this liftmaster remote to replace an old warn out one when refurbing my garage and it works great. It looks exactly like the one I replaced and install was the same, connect the two wires and mount. I suspect this may work with other doors as the functionality should be the same but check with your manufacturer. The last one lasted 30 years, if I get even half that with this remote I’d say money well spent.
