This easy-to-use small 14-karat yellow gold snap-on bail; has a tapered corrugated design for many pendant styles. This is not for thick chains. Made from a strip of metal formed into an oval shape with overlapping ends, this bail is a good choice for lightweight necklace designs made with chains or cords. The metal temper gives the bail a springiness that allows it to slip over the ring on a pendant, charm, or drop, yet maintain its shape to keep the pendant securely held. Push the bail gently open to attach your pendant. None of the local jewelers or on-line sources could provide a bail with sufficient interior space to accommodate the chain and ring. The space and size as well as the heft of this bail was perfect and the bail looks much better than portrayed by the on-line picture. The bail was a bit pricey but the result worth it and up to the quality of the other pieces. Would definitely recommend if this nice enhancer is ever available again. Review: SOLID 14K GOLD! I brought this one to my local jeweler and had them solder it closed and they filed down the bottom portion just a hair so that my pendant will fit on it.

Nice quality large 14k bail
Nice quality large 14k bail. Roomy enough for necklace clasps to slide through. Easy to install. Seems secure. As pictured. Just what I needed for a charm that had a too small bail.

Small but sturdy!
I used this bail to hold my charm pendant it's a little small & pricey but feels sturdy!

Too small.
It was shown next to a ruler showing it to be 1 inch and it really was much smaller. It was too small to be of any use and I had to return it. I was very disappointed.
