Will this device (or any 8 channel receiver of this brand) handle 12 volts, or how would I step that down?

Hi. Yes, it can handle 12 volts. This R8EF receiver's input voltage range is 3.0-15.0V. And can out PWM, PPM, and S-BUS signals.

Is this receiver compatible with radiolink rc6gs? rc6gs manual says it is, but this page and radiolink site indicate differently.

Sorry, I am not 100 per cent sure , but I think it would work because it's just a 6 channel versus 8 channel receiver from same manufacturer using PPM/PWM signal. Theoretically , it should link and work, but I can't guarantee it. This receiver is for fixed wing aircraft and if you have a heli with gyro it may not accept all the functions correctly.

Is this receiver compatible with radio link's at10 and at9 transmitters?

Sorry,it can't. R8EF 8CH receiver only work with Radiolink T8S and T8FB 8CH Radio. If your Radio is AT10/AT10Ⅱ/AT9S/AT9S Pro/AT9, you could choose such as R9DS, R12DS R6DS, R12DSM R6DSM，R12DSM(12ch) and R6DSM(10) are mini receivers, very tiny and light, they are suitable for different size of quadcopters. if you play airplane need to choose R9DS,R12DS or R6DS receiver, those 3 receiver support PWM signal output .
