BGS Diy 1231 | Torque Multiplier Set | 25 mm (1") Drive | 3200 Nm

This was my last gasp attempt at getting an axle nut off my van. I have tried everything else, breaker bars, impact wrench and lots of heat from a mapp gas torch. Nothing could shift it. So I ordered this to see if I could bodge it up and get the nut off. I had it at 50/50 whether I could make it fit and if I could whether it would get it off. I also ordered a couple of 1" extension bars as the nut was recessed. I bodged it in as shown in the photo. I turned the handle twice with very little effort and the nut started moving. It was not designed for this task but it performed it quickly and easily. Highly recommended if you are removing axle nuts and have one stuck. I am very, very happy.

Years ago a torque multiplier would lay at the back of the workshop collecting dust until that nut came along that no one could undo. It came in handy but they were mentally expensive. Since working out of a van you soon become stuck when youre waiting for batteries to change, compressor cant be used or you come across something that cant be undone. This does the job. We had a forklift that had been serviced by desperate dan. This cracked the nuts off no problem.

Excellent. My 6 year old can undo wheelnuts with this which makes him very happy to help daddy.
