HP 8 G2-1411 8-Inch 16 GB Tablet

The HP Android tablet has all the dreamy features one can imagine in a mobile interface. Android apps, many free, are amazing, and Kindle can be installed also. Just love the big 8" screen too for reading, viewing, and browsing. One thing I did notice, however, is that some wallpaper images that are displayed in entirety on a 7" display do actually get shaved horizontally on the 8" display due to its squarer proportions vs. a 7" display. A nice winter scene with a cabin on the leftmost portion of the image had the cabin hidden on the 8" display. Not much that can be done for that change of proportion, except maybe a 'fill screen' feature. Doesn't seem to happen for all wallpapers, so it must be a configuration set up by the wallpaper application developer. The display is noticeably brighter than the 7" version of the HP tablet. Color contrast is deeper and slightly richer on the 7" version of the tablet also. But the much wider display obviously provides a broader view of any given image on-screen and is easier to navigate for those with large hands. Battery life is substantial especially considering the size of the display. Really love HP tablet design overall. What's not to love about the technical design? Durable, easy to use, spill tolerant, and state of the art cosmetic appeal throughout. Eye-catching & fun, great for entertainment and educational value, too. Wonderful product. Truly wonderful!

There aren't many reviews on this tablet so I figured I would write one.When buying this tablet you need to know what you're getting. This isn't a power house. It's meant for pretty standard use and it's not going to do anything amazing. It is a great tablet for the price tho and it gets the job done.What I like :- The Price. It's very affordable and can fit into most budgets.- The screen is pretty decent for a device that only costs $150.- it's light and portable and doesn't feel like a burden to carry around from place to place.- It has a micro SD slot and it will definitely help with storage.What I don't like :- The camera is just horrific. But then again, what do you expect from a tablet at this price?- There's some lag, it's not to bad but it's noticeable.- You have to pry off a panel on the back to get to the micro SD slot and it will probably break over time.

Let me jump right into say: purchase this tablet. Now, this is not a paid review. Before purchasing this product on the HP 7 and an Asus 10 inch tablet. So, I am knowledgeable about tablets. I think the 8 inch is the perfect size tablet for me and my require uses. Some people say this is "a basic tablet." Well, that's what I wanted a basic tablet. But I consider this to be a moderately sophisticated tablet. It is beautiful screen. Some may mention the battery life. I never concern myself about a cab with battery life – for any tablet do you need an Extertal battery charger. I won't go into all the details of the tablet, description would tell you that. What I would say is, I love this tablet and I recommend it's purchase. Sometime I think tablet that a tablet is tablet, not a laptop or a desktop computer. In my opinion, if you want to functionality of a laptop or a desktop then that's what you purchase. But to each his own I love the tablet. I have HP seven and now the HP 8 inch. I love 8 inch it's the perfect screen size for my viewing taste. I'm sure you would not be disappointed if you purchase this tablet.

Bought it for my son, overpriced for the quality. The main issue has been the micro USB connector has become loose after just about two months of use. Dislike that you have to remove the back cover to get to the sd card slot. It works ok but seems to take a long time to charge. It is ok just think I paid too much for it at $150.Update from my first review. I changed my rating to 1 star down from 3. It has stopped working completely! It won't charge, turn on, or reset. I have tried everything to get it to either turn on or reset that I could find online. It is less than 5 months old! I will be contacting HP about this piece of junk!

I'm impressed. This is the tablet that I use for playing games. It rarely lags, and that's usually the game itself. The size is great for easy viewing and travelling. The battery life is the only disappointing thing. I feel almost tethered to an outlet because the battery only lasts a few hours, but that's heavy game usage. It definitely lasts longer when reading an eBook or just browsing the web.

This item is not working properly it has 4 weeks since I bought four, so fa on the four that I bought one of them is not working at all
