Mezzaluna Knife (Pizza Cutter) Vegetable Chopper for Chopped Salad, Industrial Pizza Rocker Knife (14 Inch Blade)

Purchased in 2020 and still going strong. Got a mezzaluna holder from Wostafel (spelling?) Woodworks back when I bought it (another reviewer named them properly). Super sharp and has kept an edge for years. L It is light, surdy and no seams to fall apart or get dirt stuck We use for vigger chopping like garlic bread, pizza, and big bunches of herbs or vegies Like all knives never put in dishwasher and wash and dry them right away. Be careful not to pay attention to negative reviews from anyone who complains about dishwasher stains or getting cut, both issues are common sense. Highly recommend this.

I didn't "need" this knife but I am a home cook who cooks as much as possible. I enjoy my tools and everyone knows, a good sharp knife is essential. While I have a normal chef knife, I use this to make quick work of chopping fresh herbs, mincing onions, cutting pizzas and grilled cheeses (because it works great and looks cool!) I don't use this every day but it's well made and I know I'll have it for a long time. I haven't had to sharpen it yet so that will be interesting to see due to the curve. Be careful cleaning this, it is very sharp, as it should be!

This is a great knife. We use it for cutting pizza or cutting salad up. Its pretty sharp and has a good weight to it. My biggest issue was finding a place to store it as it does not fit in drawers. I found an amazing storage block that goes great with it from WHolzapfel Woodwork. They have a page on facebook. The owner was very pleasant to work with and shipped it to me very quick. This one is Red Oak and he offers maple, cherry, and dark walnut. I also bought one of the blocks for my parents and they love it. Very high quality knife and block.

Bought it after I saw a cook using it to make a saladand she recommended it for peoplewho have trouble with their hands. I chose this one because it has handles that are long and don’t have indentations for hand placement as we all have different size hands so what is comfortable for you may not be comfortable for me. I like the large size as i use itfor salads and they spread out when you chop. I bought a large board to use with it. Diced onions beautifully without worrying about cutting myself. Just rock it back and forth. Love it and with it being all metal it is easy to wash and sanitary. Achef recommenedgetting one made out of the metal used in this one. I have a lot of expensive knives but have trouble with my hands so using this takes the need for using a lot of pressure off them.

This is a well made one piece vegetable chopper. It appears to be forged from one piece, as the handles are all a part of the chopper and there is no obvious weld or seam where they attach ... and nowhere that would require special attention when cleaning the blade. The cutter is a nice weight, fits well in the hands, is easy to hang on to when chopping as the handles are vertical and provide a grip well above the chopping surface. The blade actually measures just over 13" tip to tip. This makes it very useful for chopping vegetables, but rather limited for use as a pizza cutter. It works perfectly with flatbreads or small personal pizzas, but is really not meant for use with the large 18" pizza you order from your favorite pizza delivery place. Fortunately, those large pizzas generally arrive sliced. It does do a great job of cutting your favorite flatbread into manageable slices regardless of the toppings you heap on it. The cutter holds a sharp edge and is easily resharpened when that becomes necessary. The Mezzaluna Knife is really best at chopping everything you want to put into a chopped salad. Or making short work of chopping fresh herbs that you intend to add to any recipe. It is easy to clean, and its simple wood base makes it easy to store on the counter. Since storing these sharp blades can be problematic, keeping it out of a drawer and on display in the kitchen is a neat and safe alternative to stashing it out of sight. This blade is sharp, and should be treated that way. Overall, a very nice product, and a great addition to any kitchen were fresh produce is frequently used.

I love this cutter as it gives me precise control over the movement and pattern I want to cut. If I *had* to point out anything it would be that this is (obviously) a big odd shaped knife so storing it is a little weird.

It works very well and it's sharp. I've just used it for pizza but it's great for that. It works a lot better than the wheel-type pizza cutters. Kinda wish it was just a little longer so I cut all the way across a large pizza without having to slide it an inch or two but I didn't see anything else that was longer so I'm content. It's pretty solid and not noticeably flexible. It's a little scary to have a blade that long and sharp and finding a place to store it is a challenge. Guess I'll have to make a stand.

While it works well, it is a cheap mezzaluna, Do Not put in dishwasher, hand wash and immediate drying only, low quality stainless steel. one run in dishwasher and it already has oxidation spots on it. DO NOT BUY IF BEING SOLD FOR OVER 30$, the fact that it is marked as 80$ for full price is ridiculous. (it is being sold for 24$ at the time of this review) -other than that the handles make for a comfortable grip while chopping and the edge came sharp. (puntastic headline isn't it?)
