I got this pad after trying a 5/8” one previously. While the thinner pad was “fine” this really gives my knees the cushioning and support I need. Nice level of density combined with thickness kept my knees from hitting the hard as a rock mat underneath. Held nicely on my (Manduka Pro) mat, so stability wasn’t a problem. It’s great to sit on too! I find it very comfortable and easy to move around, while being wide enough to accommodate poses like child or puppy with my knees spread wide. If your knees tend to get sore and you need a pad, this is the one to get. Why fool with a thinner pad, when you can get something really comfortable? In terms of portability, I know some of the reviews claim it rolls up too big. I don’t understand: just carry it into the studio along with your mat. Throw it with your stuff in a duffle. Works fine for me. Oh, the included bag is junk. I threw it away immediately.

Really helping my knees. I'm unsure why I have such painful knees but this is truly an excellent alternative to having a super super thick mat. So many people in my class keep asking me where I got it. It also shipped SO MUCH QUICKER than expected.
